Hi i would know which is the best motor for de oyodo?

Nowadays i use the motor that has the maximun horse power (121000 ). Do u think
id this motor is the best?

Thanks.

Or look at it from this point.

It's a Oyodo, you won't be in it for too long so it doesn't really matter.

Such an engineer won't add anything significant yet, so which engine is best, is really
hard to tell, unless you actually try both of them yourself. However, the difference will
be so insignificant, that you probably won't see any real difference. So to answer your
question, I would say that you can't really go wrong with the CL III engine, and if your
engineer improves while you still use the Oyodo, this will be the engine which can make
the most out of it.

Thank you aero....

Very Clear.

What would you consider to be the under/OVER for the Engineer?
Let's say you have a Base 12 Engine - non boosted?

If you have a Level 40 does it tip in favor of the CLIII, and if not when?

"The overheat ratio % determines the maximum overheat a certain engine can go."

No it doesn't. The maximum overheat cap is always 1.7 times your cruise/base speed (except
for subs, which are apparently capped at 40 knots overheat, also when having a cruise
speed above 24 knots). The %, both for the ship hull and the engine, determines how much
ability you need to hit the cap. This means, that with a boat like the Oyodo, which has a
somewhat high overheat ratio, you can add a 120% engine, and probably, if not almost,
speed cap it without any engineers at all. This means, that if you have a low level crew,
or a crew with few or no engineers, you will almost always be best off by chosing the
engine with the most HP and 120%, whereas if you have a good BB crew with many engineers,
there might sometimes be a better alternative, although it doesn't happen very often. An
exception is the H39, where the most people use the KM BB Engine III, which has 120%.
However, if you have a semi fat crew, you can't get the H39 to 42 knots, when stripped of
AA, because the engine is too heavy. But, if you change to the PS Engine II, which has the
same ammount of HP, you can actually increase your speed from 40 knots to 42 knots,
because you save enough weight to raise the cruise speed from 24 knots to 25 knots. As the
engine only has 96 % overheat ratio, or whatever you want to call this, it of course means
it will require more of your engineers, but if they can manage to hit the cap, it will be
a better option.

In the case of the Oyodo:

CV VI - Heavy 100,100 HP (120%) 1320 ton - This engine is too heave, with too little HP.
The overheat ratio (120%) means you can cap it without engineers, but it doesn't make up
for it.

CA III - Heavy 112,200 HP (84%) 1100 ton - This engine has a better overheat ratio than
the CL III engine, but is also a little heavier and has a little less HP. If you don't
have any engineers, this could be an alternative to the CL III engine.

CL III - Heavy 121,000 HP (66%) 660 ton - This engine is the most powerful, and also by
far the lightest engine, but its overheat ratio is also the worst. This means, that if you
don't have any engineers, this will go up against the CA III engine almost equally.
However, if you have a good engineer on your Oyodo, this will be deffinately be your
engine of choice.

The overheat ratio % determines the maximum overheat a certain engine can go.

Currently Oct 2 their are 3 Engines that could be used for the OYODO.
Here are their SPECS and unloaded Speeds.

CV VI - Heavy 100,100 HP 32/54

CA III - Heavy 112,200 HP 35/56

CL III - Heavy 121,000 HP 37/54

Has anyone used all three? There are differences in OVERHEAT.
Why is a CA III have less HP than a CL III, does Power or Torque give you different
speed when full loaded that makes the CA better?

Which is best and why?

Yeah, the CL III engine (which you're using) would probably be best. Remember, the Oyodo
is not a flattop. Use those R and T slots.

Angus: does that use 3-phase?
