you get can already get the fastest torps for japs at lvl 34 but only in X3 as the type 93 M1 can go 46/60 knts if you use the MOD 2. in latter stages, type 93 M3 at lvl 48 X3 has better dmg of torps but a sacrifice of less range of torps on all MODs but speed of torps remain the same. id say fubuki is better to use as it can carry the M3 torps while the sima cant carry any better torps than the M3 except for the type 90 X5 which is weaker and slower but bigger spread and longer range.
