They really need to remove the SS and APA engines from displaying on the engine lists for
DDs, it would save a lot of headaches.

Its not so much you need to carry the highest lvl engine, you need to carry the
highest HP engine. However watch which one you put on as you dont want an
overweight engine with the same HP.

For Akitsuki, you want the DD Engine II (heavy) Produces 57200 HP. And with a lvl
30 crew it goes 38/43 oh.

lets call this post operator error. in my hast to get an engine into my ship i picked an
ss engine and not a DD engine. they both cost 9000 but one has 16k hp and the other has
57k hp. thanks for the help.

also dont carry torps on it that will slow it dont alot as the akitsuki line is more a gun
ship line not a torp line

Use the highest tier DD engine you can. Fit the heavy variant.
