I put supports on my gun-slots. I find it better to be able to take hits from small ships
and ignore em (depending on the ship, i can rep faster than they can dish out damage),
think my record for taking and ignoring damage is about 30k-ish (Angus, take a bow)...

AA is pointless, thats what fighters are for, Guns are pointless, thats what TB's are for...

for me AAGuner is the best way for CV
i dont care the smallest ship.
CV must on Distance !!

Except for the horrible reload. Hedgehogs make terrible point-defense weapons in any case,
they're only really good for killing subs. Besides, unless you're good at aiming those
hedgehogs, you probably won't even cripple your target on the first try, and it leaves you
vulnerable if a sub shows up while you're reloading.

Guns are basicly useless for a good CV. Use the slots for leveling or support sailors
instead. btw, DS he said no flamers allowed :P

I used the gun spots for the other pilots that could not fit in the support slots so they
stayed the same level for when I got to Ark Royal with out having to rotate pilots. I did
run the CV with guns a number of times but found them to really be much of a help as I
was usually more concerned with my pilots rather then shotting smaller ships that got
close to me.

but ofcourse like stated, you will have to sacrifice 2 slots which can be occupied by
supports.

Escorts will kill you more often than the enemy... They usually shoot THROUGH you
at the enemy...

get a smaller ship as an escort. :P

since most(all) of the gbs are with escorts on.
