Has anyone speed capped and SD capped their T3 sub on here? I was just curious since I
have about 700 SD and go 39 on OH with 2 102 engies.

I guess it takes some bb5 level guys to speed cap it, my engys are lvl 91 +12 bve
with 180 vets and full experts, i do 36 surfaced with normal setup and 38 if i strip
out the pman and make a few other changes that will generallt get me killed if i use
it like that....but doomsday, your saying to do 40 with 2 engys takes lvl 114 and
250+ vets?

With 2 elite 120 engineers (not sure of vets, should be about 170 each) I can get 39 knots
at best. This setups involves 2 engi, 1 planes, 1 sonar, 2 torpers (rear torper has no
recruits), BO (no R/E/V on him), and usually a seaman that i'm leveling on my sub.

Correction, it seems i get 38 knts. But i can get 40 if i put 3 engies on and remove my
planesmen.

Hitting 40 with 26 base and 2 ngs is easy enough, though at 25 is a bit harder.
Might be able to pull 600-700 from 2 ngs, though you'll probably need a third crew
member to pull another 200-300, less you have uber crews, then more power to you.

my jap ss3,,i can get to go 26/40 on top..34 underwater, and thats WITh a pman and a
sonar,2 engy,2 torpers,and 1 elite rep.

my whole ss3 crew is 100 or more,,so i make it work by doing this.

front torper,p man,and engys are all overvetted to 200 or more,

sonar and bo are emptied completely,,just boosted

rear torper boosted,,100v,otherwise empty

my elite rep that gets me about 600SD i cant fill due to weight'

i get the sub cap which is 40,,and i OH for 2 min 25 seconds,it takes 2 base 12 engy lvl
114,,279/289vet

hope this info helps,if anyones wants to run 40 knotsn without sacrificeing sonar,or SD

lol at high levels, the generally failings of IJN support cease to be an issue

I was aware the cap was 40, but I would think with a normal crew setup it would be very
hard to achieve seeing as how ijn support sucks

sonar's practically a requirement since what good is a sub that can't see.
Planesman technically is doable without if you don't mind spending the first 5
minutes of battle pretty much doing nothing. Don't shave your planesman though if
you do put one on. 2 ng 1 planes 1 sonar's generally doable, you should hit 38-40
pends on how heavy your crew is or b/v/ed. BO's shavable, Sonarmon's shavable,
torpedomon's shavable, ngs really pends on your situation, planesmon not so much
shavable either.

But yea, speed cap's at 40 surface 35 under.

I don't usually run the setup. I just did it to see if I could go 40 with 900 SD.

I like to see (sonarman) and can't trust idiots in GB to scout well enough to help me and
the rear torper is amazingly helpful sometimes.

I usually setup 2/1 instead of 3/1. Gives me 38 and 800something SD.
