better to be an escort ship. APA PITT will shot everything. Try it.

if your gonna do it, use Pom Poms for the escort, 5.25" are too slow even for level 65ish
AA Gunners, with lotsa bulge and some bulk she actas a a nice little torp magnet too.

Nice, that`s sorta what I thought was to put the pompoms in the r slots and load it
with bulge.

I use an emerald with pompoms in the R slots and normal AA guns in the T Slots as an AA
escort. Even though people laugh because it is usually escorting my emden or moltke the
effect is pretty much devastating, if the enemy lowers his planes to avoid my KM spam, he
is being eating by even more rapid fire. I just have to admit that the on/off switch for
the escort is highly recommended to use.
Another big plus is the fact, that my escort is capable of carrying lots of bulge, and
since its being trailing my main ship, taking quite a few torps from the usual sub attack.

And do I even have to mention what happends to TBs trying to bomb it?

Escort AI is pretty good with the pom poms. Though the problem with escorts AA-ing is that
they don't 'lead' their targets and will only hit if the said plane is flying in a circle
or straight towards/away from the escort.

those pompoms eat everything that wonders into the range
AI has better killing abil than driving
