Yam is getting better to play now, I'm learning how to shake my booty >< lol also
how to turn broadsie and run a bit after every salvo to get the sling shot effect is
working quite nicely as well :)

Yami's a fine line battler IMO...I've done 300k+ in BB4 rooms...(can't seem to find the
screenshot >.>, but I see alot of 200k, 250+ games)

But I do admit, it is the hardest BB4 to play...(I own a L1, played H39 before, and I
play an iowa on AZ)


btw, the spread on yami gets good at about lv 100, at 120 it almost blockshots now..

Thank you sintri :) I'm getting used to her now, and hopefully i can learn the gist of
her fairly quickly. I just can't wait to actually hit 38+ ^^

Valk~ Thanks for the tips, I do understand the turn towards the enemy thing as I
remember reading about it in one of LK's threads ^^ but somehow I forgot it :P. As
for the ass end thing, that is actually the reason why i got sunk alot was from
running straight away so I'll have to implement dodging more.

I'll really have to take angus up on that offer, adding him to msn later tonight ^^

P.S Valk~ I really don't mind long answers, in my opinion theyr better then short
ones in which u have to guess the meaning of it ^^

Ya Krauts relax....The Yammy is very hard to be effective with low lvl eng's.. I know that
your eng's are lower then lvl so it is understandable you are having problems..

Remember this -

1st. The Yammy is not a "line ship" .. you need the to play with caution and stealth.. Use
the AA you have to best effect.. And never rush an opponent unless it is a 1 vs 1 and you
aim well... As to why you are having problems with Iowa's ... perhaps look at "Boom's BB
guide".. but really I can't remember having problems with any other nations BB4..

2nd. Swinging of the ship's ass end..lol.. if you remember I commented to you in my first
post about the ass end... Its a massive target... All I can say is.. GET USED TO IT.. SY
is no better.. But Sintri gave some good advice... you can't run in a straight line.. the
ass end is too big and will catch to many shells...plus.. really it is easy for the other
guy to know where to aim too... So what you need to do is ( and I know this will seem
crazy) is after you turn away from a guy to run a bit... when he fires.. you turn back in
towards him..This will "swing" the butt end of your Yamato away quickly from the place the
shells will "probably land"... Once they splash in the drink... turn again and go for
range.. This is why IJN needs IMO 5 eng's minimum .. Basically if you are engaged with the
enemy, you need to be in OH..

As for the L's spread... again I didn't have to much issue with it.. I feel once you get
to 95 you will be happy.. The spread starts to get awesome on the SY so just know you are
really only like 15 lvls away from it. Actually, for me I found the less then perfect
spread good for awhile because I would still hit stuff while I was learning all these
other crazy skills.

So sorry for going on like forever... But trust me and the others here.. You will learn
to love this ship.. Basically everything you learn in this ship you use in the SY.. and I
tell you for good IJN players.. We all feel the SY is the best BB5!!

Take up Angus725's offer to do some 1 vs 1 ... He is good and will probably sink you
without you landing a salvo..lol.. I remember Aingeal and I were almost the same lvl in
our Yammy's and we would go for 30-45 seconds sometimes without either of us hitting one
another because of all the dodging..

Yammies go 40 which isn't that bad. Running directly away isn't always the best
way to dodge shots, generally get as much range as you can before/during their
firing, then pull your rear around by either pulling straight or heading towards them,
just don't forget to keep running less you really want to run towards them. Main
thing, as with any ship, stay invisible and aim well and you'll kill anyone. Course
with a yammy it's alot easier to stay invisible.

From playing on and off today, I've been having trouble with Iowas..

L1s don't seem to be that much of a problem, I just pop them at 45 and run rinse an
repeat. However with Iowas they seem to be faster then me (albeit their still at lvl
lower then 100) and hit harder. H39s I just attempt to slingshot.

Basically I'm getting used to the playstyle, but the bigbutt, and slow speeds
compared to 40(fuso) 42(nagato) and 43~45 (b65) is really hard.. Are there any tips
for engaging specific BB4s and some BB5s (albeit I only attack Monties and some
L2s..)

When you are about to get your next ship and it still won't be as good as Lion or Iowa
spread at the same level. SY gun however is pretty decent right from the get go.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I finally got the Ls. Pretty happy with the ship overall,
but kind of disapointed about how Iowa has the same range as me ><.

Around what lvl will my spread get tight? as of right now it's like the Nagato spread
(tight one minute, wild the next).. also atm off axis firing sucks so running is hard to
hit things.
For any who ask for screenys i will post once I figure out how to post them..

As for UmbralRapter.. O.o how did u get to be that far into the hole? That is rough...
lol I was thinking of running my Fuso with 16s but didnt have enuf cash so I'm
running Kongo.. it's a helluva good time with a good spread and crazy reload ><.
