mkIIL is better hands down

MKII do more damage. A full Revenge broadside can easily score 30k, while the Vanguard for
example only does around 24-26k.

mkIIID, better range and really lighter, but reload is a bit slower.
28/47 with my bb4/5 crew and .3belt + some bulk

Pitt_possum good call, i had finder on and changed to aiming and am now very
happy.

Do remember that the Revenge has all of its guns bunched together, while the Renown's are
space much further apart.

check if u havent mixed up aiming systems, u wont block with finder :P

Hi, i have swapped out from my revenge to my renown to get my other BO some
levels and notices a big difference in spread. I am using the same guns in both (Mk
II Ls) but in my revenge i can pratically block shot but im renown spread it terribad.
My gunners are 71 BVE accu so i dont understand why the spread is so bad, is it
purely because of the ship? and does the renown ever get good?

Thanks for all of the responses. I decided to go with the MkIIIDs in my case since
the spread is tolerable with my 87 gunners (which I'm leveling for another BB crew)
and the lighter weight allows me to hit 45 knots on OH. I would agree that the
MkIILs are better with lower level gunners however after seeing the comments.

Period.

Found the mkIIID spread terrible, somewhat negating any range benefit, and that's
with lvl 80 gunners (b/v/e)
Stick with the mkIIL, the spread is reasonably tight, and reload 1 sec faster.

I'm still using the Renown on the now longer grind to Nelson.
With a SW setup, can still get 27/42 knots with heavier mkIIL guns.
