What the heck guns are you talking about??? dual 8" E D have less range than even dual 7.9 c D (albeit only a small range difference)

I don't think that you can fit any of the 8''F guns. I'm actually pretty sure the only 8'' guns you can fit on the mogi 1938 are the 8''ED. As soon as my internet and computer decide to load NF i'll go check but until then I have to base my theory on my memory and trainworld.

Anyway, Laoji's config for mogi from the old forums was

Frankly, I prefer the 7.9CD to the 8'' ED but i'm not exactly Laoji ...

My gunners are about to hit 52 and I was wondering how many Binds you can fit on with thesecond set of 8"ers?

It really requires a big game to run out of ammo...

dun put 8" on mogami CL.... they dont have enough ammo..

I find that 7.9"C D is the best becoz i first started out with 7.9"B N but after that u get the C D which have more range, and are a better overall gun

C D also have more range than B N and i think faster train speed... so if u use 7.9C D you will have 2nd best range and good dmg per shell too....

As for armor, is it really that wise to stack no armor on? I mean, Mog is a big ship and it isn't the fastest CL2 out there.

As a sucessful CL Mogami user, i would recommend the 7.9 Type 3Bs. Excellent range, and can hold 3 binds of ammo. Once you hit lvl 49 you can put on the 8 3E Ds, which add a little range and damage, still hold 3 binds. I keep about 1.4 deck and .5 belt. Its paper armor anyway but it does seem to deflect some of the smaller shots. CA Enging II heavy is a must or you will be easily run down and killed by didos lol. Make sure to keep a scout on your ship since you can shoot a lot farther than you can see. Oh, and if your still using the auto fcs, forget everything i said and charge in with trip 6s lol.

won't the ship be more vulnerable even to DDs?

Yep, only thing that stands a chance is the dual 8 brook and a good m-pro
