skip the revenge for a QE?.....that's utter madness.
if you need overpowered guns to make a ship fun, you must be missing the point.

tbf the county was poor in GB. 4 turrets with rp10N or D is still worse then an emerald
for AA. blitz just doesn't give the xp (but actually will give you more credits in respect
to XP which will help u when u come to trying to buy your revenge).

furious is an option. premium ca, with trip 15". big hitbox, lots of levelling slots.
AA emerald then sirius is another.

the grind to revenge is always easier if you've taken the precaution of overlevelling your
gunners.

perhaps make this BO a cv BO and restart.

it's amazing how quick you can get back to county with prem and lvl 50 gunners from the
start in gb.

consider it.

either that or just go back and level up another BO for the York line.

if you see ppl calling the revenge a bad ship. they've obviously never really unleashed
it's full potential.

alternate for Blitz: especially for non-bve crew. ur spread will be horrible and ur crew
won't have much speed. slap on at least 10" of belt. and 8" D. don't HA. pick a massive
ca. rush so close to it that anyone shooting at you will prolly hit him. and just use ur
fast reload rate (relative) and pound him at about 6-10deg. soon as he's almost dead, run
to the next ship which will prolly close to try to get a decent shot on u. keep hopping
from one CA to another.

alternate for GB: use county with 8" L in gb. learn to dodge with ur narrow hitbox. learn
to find dark spots in enemy sight. nip in, get huge attack on the large BB u can before u
die, while dodging and praying.
this would put you in good shape for the revenge, one of the narrowest hitboxes of any BB
in the game.

I think one of the mistakes of at-level county players is that they either do HAing once,
see someone do it, or are told about it, see/hear some of those 800 hits, and then decide
that from then on they will only HA. County is perfectly capable of low angle too.

I found county to be quite painful at level
And the exp in blitz was pitiful, so i just used the emden for AA in GB, reload with the
rp10's is pretty bad at first but some careful aiming and just a few planes down and you
will get pretty nice exp (if your team wins)

Revenge on the other hand was awesome, despite absolutely horrible spread at level i
enjoyed it quite a bit, its definitely better then the Dunkerque :P

The hell with Revenge. It used to be fun back when you could mount RP12N with one bind on
it. Took a damn sight of skill to use too: now what? Get outranged by an Emden? I think
not. Just stay in your County in Blitz until 61, puts you closer to QE which is a real
ship. Plus you will be better equipped (marginally) to be forced into GB.

That's exactly what I had to do in the last two levels of my Revenge grind: Slaughtering
little DDs because no one wanted to play CL/CA rooms. -.-


Good old times though...

Go back to Edinburgh and play DD/CL rooms until Revenge.

Oh wait . . .

if you want to be a CA, and get 4kxp per game. keep doing what you're doing.

If you want to lvl fast, put RP10N on the four turrets of your county, and aa (while
carrying HE also) for a bb in the south.

That way, you get more xp AND you are providing a legit service and helping your team to win.

if you use 8" in GB... your team would not really notice if you are there or not. With
aa, you can be a factor.

I loved my County. Farming blitz with HA is a blast (especially when other CA's would
flame me for running). That was before BB1's in blitz, now it would be even better with
fat BB1's running around.

For a break from that throw RP10's on the R slots and AA in GB. You can knock down scouts
easily and bombers and fighters too. It shouldn't be too bad at all if done that way.

Loved the County. High angle madness is enough to scare away any adversary. I
would say the RN has the best CAs. If you want to talk about grind, try KM....
Though the ships are worth it in every way. Like LK said, get the Furious if it's
getting tiresome.

I actually found that, once I hit about 50, the County guns got accurate enough with
HA that I could be of some help in GBs. The L guns give you reasonably close to BB1
range, and you do pretty close to BB1 damage with HA. In one of my later games, I
sunk an Andrea Doria from about 12k health when all of my team BBs were down (I
had decent fighter cover though).
And the RP10D aren't really too bad. The firing is slow, but you eventually learn to
make every shot count and start doing pretty well.
