I was getting no less than 10k exp on some level 85 US engies while AAing in my
Myoko. I thought it was kind of high for just AAing and not getting any attack in a CA. I
could be wrong as I rarely pay attention to experience gain in the first place.

sell it to harbor, you get 100% on the hull...

from my experience, both are about the same richard. So go with what is best for your
sailors level.

I'm playing around in the Asama right now. Take off the main turrets and that boat is
FAST 35/57 or something (with 3 engies level 87bve). Then again, take off the main
turrets and that boat is fast and useful only for aa.

well pegleg, you could then try and see if there is any annomally regarding to the Mogami
CL, just to remove any kind of doubts possible!

Ok I ran an experiment to confirm my analysis. I ran both a Mog41 and a Myoko with
5 x trip6.1a and the exact same crew (level86 dp gunners).

By the way, the Myoko fails because you have to use the inferior scout plane as it
can only fit 2 of the really good scout compared to 4 on the Mog. You need to scout
as an aaw if you wanna see those bombers flying inbound. And also it gives you
something to do at the end of a winning match when there are no more planes to
shoot down.

Myoko and Mog both went exactly the same speed with the same crew 28/47.

So I recorded the in-game "credits" and "bonus credits" number and then saw post-
game credits and xp for the gunners (and the BO). I have premium sub. I ONLY shot
at airplanes (no asw). I did about 10 games in each. In the Myoko I did not have
any really great games where swarms of t2 and t3 fighters are parked at golden
angle over your team's battle line so even in my wins I didn't have any big games.

But here is a Mog41 win game:
credits: 1299; bonus credits: 1866
post-game credits: 10,972; gunners xp: 12,681

Myoko win game:
credits: 1200; bonus: 1945
post-game credits: 10,989; gunners xp: 11,256

so basically, the xp is as you'd expect given that Myoko is lower-level than Mog.

I'm thinking of playing around with a gunless Asama and a gunless b65 (although I'm
sure I'd get flamed to death for that) but it looks as if there is no bug.

It's not always true that a higher lvl CA will automatically gives you more xp.
AA Dland (lvl 47) with a fixed ammount of credits will always give a higher xp than aa
in a moltke/Ppro1 with the same number of credits.

Well in that case you'd want Mog41 simply because it is higher level and you will want
to aaw with higher level sailors, so that should be the simple answer, no?
