  • Dodging DB's in the York

So, i have searched and searched and found nothing... Here it goes

I love my york. got lvl 54ish gunners who are just starting to block. I usually end up
last on my team with anywhere from 20k-50k in dmg. I run with 2 engies, 2 repair, and 1
scout. I run with just enough bulk so my speed is not changed. i think its 29/41.

my question is how the hell do you dodge DB's?
i can be king of the world in a match but when i see these damn santas coming, i know im
done for. i zig, i zag, i stop, i overheat and nothing i do prevents a DB.

Now, when i was playing my IJN CV yorks would dodge me all the time-so i know its possible
( i wasn't that horrible in DBing)

Any help/tips/tactics would be greatly appreciated.

THanks ahead of time

york turns slow but it is a cat and mouse game. best thing to do is always turn
toward the bombers before they dive.

Something to think about. when they use auto torpedo attacks it gives them a
perfect torpedo shot when they start their run. But "after" they start their run the
planes will prety much not change course. That gives you your chance to
dodge.......in that time from when they dive till launch.

Still with a yorks turn rate it will be dificult to dodge.

now that i read it says DB...... anyways try and force them to come at you from the
side. then cut hard while gunning the engines swining your aft end towards the
incoming bombers just before they drop. Its a game of move your ships backside
out of the way.
