That's about it. Other than that, try the Mogami CA and the Kita. yes, the kita can be a
decent AA platform with a high lvl crew.

Asama- I haven't tried yet, but I see it being used quite a bit so I would say that it
might be good

Kita isnt a good AA whore. Its decent but meh better use it as torpedowhore. Id say
Myoko is the best AA ship. It has more gunspace than.... on second thought no
Mogami CA should have more gunspace.

indeed, an asama buff would be interesting, because i believe i can say that none prem
ship from IJN is worth buying (b65 is worth late in the game, when u got yamato and better
stuffie, so i believe there's no point in it anyway)

i even believe that, between a high/low lvl crew in a mog CA, and the asama, Mog will
perform better anyday. This is kinda useless i think....

Perhaps we should call out for Asama buff. Asama with 5 t-slot turret would be a win
like Moltke. Would add to teamwork, etc.

Asama with 4 turrets does not work

mainly because it concerns pure AA platform. A b65 has a main BB role, AA is supposed to
be secondary to sinking ships.

My vote goes for Mog CL, due to its greater speed compared to his CA counterpart, and
still having lots of ammo. The 3x6,1 A buff was a freaking good surprise from the patch,
and made the mog a ship with great AA range awesome power (no AA ship can field a more
damaging AA salvo than the IJN 5 x triple 6,1 turrets. None. By far.)

kita is not an option. The ship is made for TWing. while it might be funny to try, and i
prolly will when I get mine, the gun arc makes it you have to move the ship as a whole to
shoot at a plane so you always broadside. Also I expect ammo issues. And still only 5
barrel per side. Why take that when you can have 5 better gun slot per side with the IJN DD3?

This one, altough it run out of ammo and high level AA gunner eats the DP awfully fast is
fun. People dont expect it to be an AA ship, and its extremely hard to shoot at from high
range, which gives you a + compared to the bigger Mog and myoko. Not too bad, not the best.

Asama, well the fact its the T slot that shoot is nice, faster to turn around, decent
ammo, and AA whored great speed. However, the AA slots are separated, and there is only 4
of them per side. maybe the best for scout sniping everywhere, as it can cover the
distance to them really fast, and snipe them from afar, not nearly enough of a damage
output against squads from CVs, in my mind.

So my choice? If the BO went down Mog line, Mog CL. If not Myoko. If that BO went down a
sub line, then you got no choice but asama, since its PCA status doesnt care about the
ship tree the BO has, so long as it got the requiered level.

For leveling purpose tough, always take the ship which level gives the best % of xp to the
sailors leveled, or that has the most leveling spot. Their I suppose Asama takes the cake
with one more support for lvl 48+

If you somehow acquiere high level IJN AA gunners and want to level a BB crew to accompany
them (ya never know :P) I'd suggest:

play GBs to tsukikei just leechin round basically, ASW a bit then once subs are dead hang
around for max xp. Then use the followin ships to AA to your first BB:

Tsukikei
Agano (actually can sport decent AA with the 6,1 no point once you got access to the mog.
Also additionnal support compared to the DD3)
Mog CL
Myoko
Asama if you have it. Dont bother with Mog CA, you want the Asama additionnal leveling
slot here. If you dont have it:
Mog CA slower but should get better xp gain than myoko. At any rate for higher level guys.

Just on a side note: Last night in a battle I looked up and saw this
ship AA ing away. Having fun, being ignored by bigger ships, not dying.

The Ship? AGANO with 3 - Trip 6.1a's the BO was a 3 Gold Bar. lol

I only use CAs.

First they have more crew slots and higher exp curve. I'm willing to sacrafice some
effectiveness for better leveling.

Second they can mount hedgehogs with my BB4 gunners without problems if i want them.
