Not in that case. The BC engine has a bit more HP, but the CV engine is good for 44kn as
well and a few tons lighter.

you ALWAYS use the engine with more horsepower.

If I remember correctly, I used the BC engine first, because it is a little easier to cap,
but when my crew became better and fatter, I swapped it for the CV engine, so my base
speed would not drop.

..did not account for the OH tho as those are pretty rare. There is a discussion on its
own... :) cuz..got me on that one..or which ones..time to go lookin in trainworld..lulz

also left out HP=Pulling power..but I guess that doesn't apply here..be nice to lend a tow

With the CV Engine i go 26/37 with 5 Base 11 lvl 60 semi-BVE Engineers,so which
one would reach the speed cap earlier?

Not always the case. You can always correct for a heavier engine by reducing the
amount of armor or crew you carry, but there's no way to correct for reduced
horsepower.

Anyways, the general rule is, either the engine with the most Shaft Horsepower, or the
next-smallest one if it has a higher overheat ratio. If you have really good Engys
though, always go for the one with the most SHP.

also need to check the weight of the powerplant as it may kill the extra hp

Horsepower = Speed. Happy hunting in the Dunk.. Don't neglect the regular BB line and
style of playing tho..

if i remeber right, the cv one gives u the most horesepower. All u want is the one that
gives u the most horsepower, and if the engies are close in oh ratio, look at that too. In
short, wat ever makes u go the fastest and keeps that speed up
