I was wondering if anyone already knows about the golden angle for the french AA
guns. If so, please enlighten me...

I am thinking about rewriting this, so the angles are all on the top.
Then this should be worth a sticky...

This is my experience with the lvl 20 3'' twin.

- 24', they hit the planes at standard hight just before the shells explode (max range)
from there on you increase the angle depending how far the planes are away.

For example, planes that are about half way from your ship to where the shells explode I
usually use 27-28 degrees.

With the lower angle AA guns you do need to do alot of adjustment, I think it is the same
with all long range, low angle AA guns (all nations), generally you do not use them for
bombers coming for you, rather for sniping down scouts that your BB's cannot reach.

just my 1 cent :)

Generally the target area should be bigger if the GA is lower... a low curve should stay
longer on the default height... but I also noticed, that its quite difficult to hit
something with the level 20 duals at 26 degrees... especially because the spread is really
bad at the long ranges that are required to hit something...

"Assuming you have done a perfect job on finding the default angle.
I am shocked to see that the quad 5,1'' 1932 doesn't have the same golden angle
as dual 5,1'' 1932.
Using them on dunkerque/strasbourg will get some unmatch... while watching UK
Dunkerque do have their own set of aa with the same golden angle. "

I have the same Question. Does anyone have a good answer for this?

I find the lv 20 duals have the same problem. The hitting zone is very short, seems
to only hit from a long way out. Could be just me tho....

I experimented a littel with the Level 49 Guns and for me its 30 degrees (max
angle). Also the lenght of the path where you can hit planes on standart hight
seems to be rather short. I did score hits from about 1/3 to 2/3 of max range, which
gives you 2 salvos at best when planes come your way.

In the way it is now its a usefull weapon for tier 1 and 2 DD`s with a mediocre
usefullness vs scouts. Because of its high Level i expected more.
