I've had considerable success in GBs using the quads L on Hood. Sure, it only went 36
knots and had crappy spread, but it's easy to ruin someone's day when your flinging 16 14"
shells at him.

SW stands for speed whore.
A speed freak players have a great tendency to run armour less in order to maintain its
maximum speed.
For a Prince of whale speedwhoring goes 47 knots with a standard crew set. Depends on the
player's taste, some are successful with speed. While other does good job armouring and
cruise 39 knots only.

For a lion 1 speedwhoring could goes 47 or 49 knots with 2 turrets (depends also on crew
configuration). Again it depends on the player's taste. Most people prefer armouring their
Lion1 while few people go for SW.

Personally, I never armoured my UK ships because it is pointless when I can't even bounce
Monty/SY at max range. I prefer speedwhoring allowing me to rush the opponent when they
make a mistake or blind for a few moments.

what is SW?

at first with the hood youll be picked on by all of the other ships, but with alot of
practice and dodging skills you should do just fine. a tip is to always be running
when fighting in the hood NEVER EVER chase another ship.
for the pow, you could either go all armour, or no armour and SW it. (of course youd
still need buldge and/or belt).

like i said if you want an easier ship go with PoW or Nelly, and if you want a
complicated but fun ship go for the hood.

i drive hood and POW, my crew is fat so i cant fit 10" anymore on my pow, i love my
hood, but its a pain at first.
if you have the patience and want to learn to drive the hood go for it, but it your
mimpatient and just want an easy ship stick with the nelly or the PoW.

loose the millions of question marks...

You should be warned that more turrets =/= better.

The Hood will be significantly harder to play than the Nelson and PoW.

But to answer your questions:

Sorry if this came off as harsh, but there are multiple databases that have this
information. Please note the non-zero plane space, and the gun space compared with the
size of the quads.

1) Yes, it can carry quads. But that's the gun setup you'll least want to use except for fun.

2) Yes it can carry scouts now. Up to three T4 scouts (Mosquito) or four T3 scouts (Skua).
