Hello there everyone,

I was recently reading the suggestion section of the forums and discovered that someone
wanted to know all the gun ranges for Navy field, so since there are no guides or listings
of ranges i decided to start this thread and make a few gun range guides one per nation.

The setup is pretty straight forward the measurement values are simply each little tick in
your range finding. I will be adding more guides as I complete them so keep checking. So
far KM is done next on my list is UK or US
Setup
This test was done on the same ship, nothing changed except for the gun and the ammo. All
range finding was done in test mission at the exact same place of the map. please take
into consideration these are the base ranges, kite and rushing ranges differ from those
present

These measurements were taken using the Navyfield Guide line ranges. that being said each
little dot on your guidelines is equal to 1 point of range, and each green ball is a total
of 20 little dots

KM Guns Singles

KM Twin Guns

KM Triple Guns

procedure as per request

Step 1. Equip 3 guns of the same type into A,B,C slots on H44
Step2. He Heavy in the first gun, He Normal in the second, He light in the third
Step3. Verify that the guns and ammo are correctly setup
Step4. Create a test mission
Step5. wait until the BBs run out of ammo before commencing
Step6. Fire guns are aprox. optimal angles
Step7.fire gun once to see range - write down results-(each gun counted separately)
Step8. Clear the range markings off screen
Step9. Repeat step 7
Step10. Repeat step 8
Step11.Repeat step 7
Step12. Repeat Step8
Step13. Fire guns once more and verify results
Step14. If results vary a large amount re start test
Step15. write down Gun A results
Step16.Repeat steps 1-14 for Gun B
Step17. Repeat steps 1-14 for Gun C
Step18. Go to harbor once more and verify guns and ammo
Step19. Alt+Tab to Excel and record results
Step20. Restart procedure with the next gun variant

All these steps were used whilst i recorded my values. Mind you this is not a perfect
method of finding range. so by all means to not expect perfection

Also a little bit of data that i used.
Ship Used: H44
Level of Gunners :114
Level of BO:111
FCS Used: BB FCS II Aiming

Eh, somewhat. TeeCee's tables can't be trusted for US 14", KM 14.96", or IJN 12.2" or 14"
(and possibly 16.1") guns. I *think* everything 11" and smaller (as well as BB45 guns) is
trustworthy, but mind the removed guns.

Courtesy of TeeCee, and all I had to do was look under "Range":

Num=79868&Sort=D07&Order=re_upday&PageSize=20&Page=1&SearchPart=title&SearchText=range&Ctg_1=&Ctg_2=&Ctg_3=

I would recommend doing MN. I've seen a few requests for those.
