  • Colorado--->South Dakoda

Nubbles
So I have grinded (quite happily actually) the Colorado and am bordering the SoDak. Been reading
LK's guide, as well as gun comparison, and I came to the conclusion that the SoDak is similar to Colo
but much faster, and the fact that it is a BB3.
However, when considering its guns on a SoDak; the LHE do the same damage as the Colos x2
16"ers. The guns only have slightly more range.

So I was wondering whether the South Dakota is worth getting (considering the credit crisis from
GB2, I am a bit more careful with what I spend).

(quote of someone quoted by helms) :"sodak is a possible armorwhore"

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

ow what he was serious?

about spread...colo is just as random as the sodak. The +1 acc rev suprisingly helped, at
least at lvl 120. I didnt test at level yet.

What does happen tough: colo is an awesome BB2. So the step up to sodak can be
dissappointing, while it doesnt mean the sodak isn't awesome in its own right.

Also you have to totally shift your playstyle and go back to Guam way of hit and running.

Never underestimate a sodak player that is slightly good at playing ninja style. You'll
have 16" raining down your deck when you less expect it if you do.

PowDaks are food. So are Liowas. If you want to use ships that are viable as armorwhores,
go UK.

IF you think you can AW the Sodak...

with 1 Dual 14" gun D you can't load enough armor to even bounce 14" shells from a POW

Sodak is not a AW capable ship.

SoDak 3.5... That ended the day ONF Ripped the MK7s off the BB3s...other then that the
Sodak is a solid BB3...Lacks the range and Toughness to be much more...

The 42 knots...Hmmmm....I runn full AA and Belt + Buldge...Might be part of the reason i
don't have problems with Subs...Hmmmm

I come from a long forgotten time. I do not rush to get the next ship, i learn the ship
i am in and become deadly in it. I generally do not change ships till 15-20 levels above.
I have never had a problem with Gun choice, speed or repair ability. All these are
capped or clos to the cap the first time i set foot in the ship.

Master each ship before moving to the next, and not only will the grind become more
enjoyable, but the game itself becomes more fun.

SoDak is a speed whore ship. It's a BB3.5 when played well and could even match
an Iowa in terms of speed and manuverability.

If you didn't get Colorado or New Mexico. Insist on using Guam or Alaska, you will
found that the playstyle is very similar.

Well, keep in mind you have a very BAD spread (I have it still with lvl99 gunners BVE
only 9 base lol 0.o) Hope for you you have base 11 or 12 :D

If your first BB line is Colorado, your second should be the Penn. Different playstyles,
different epicness.

CaptKing:
"CO
1. Even at 42 Knots its not to shabby speed wise.
2. 8 Barrels of 16s, better spread then the Sodak makes up for the missing barrel...
3. Range is not even engough to matter in a GB, in a BB Room mabyee, but not a GB..."

Meh? my Colorado does 44 knots lol

(Well Til my engys all got fat)
