k thanks, i guess the best way is to see how fast its cruising , or just use ap and
watch shells landing ,...? anyways thanks , its not like i get close enough to land
many shots on an L2 LOL . but its good to know.

1. On NY, many players use 3 gun AW L2. BB3s or lower sometimes have a hard time breaking
through that. Also, AP tends to scare a lot of players, and when players are scared, they
are more prone to miss their shots.

2. Sliptrip, an easy way to tell if you should use AP or HE is by clicking on the ship
and seeing what speed he is going at. If the L2 uses 39 knots, then HE it, do not AP it
unless you have no HE left. If the L2 runs 35 knots, then use AP on it. Even if that L2
might be running full buldge and no deck/belt, just still use AP to be safe.

lolwut? why would you suddenly need to AP an SW L2 if you're BB3 or less?

If L2 uses only the 2 front guns, then 90% chance it is armored and you should AP it. If
the L2 uses 3 guns, then use HE on it unless you are BB3 or lower.

Lion 2's are a versatile ship as far as what armor they utilize. I've just come back to the
game and I'm playing on Nelson so I haven't seen one yet this time around but the
most common setup was a heavily armored 2 gun L2 back when I played on AZ.

You just have to learn how to gauge their armor based on how many guns they have
and how much speed.

Again this is just going off of what I have seen as I have never actually driven an L2.
