Scouting. It's a very simple concept, yet it's one of several game-breakers in NavyFIELD.
There are a number of different situations that require different types of scouting
strategies. In this guide, I will attempt to address those situations, as well as
techniques for maintaining your vision throughout the match.

New Updates

Aircraft Stat:
With the latest patch, the Aircraft Stat is what now determines how resilient your
scout
is to AAW and enemy fighters.

Hobbit Mode in Blitz:
Because the Hobbit map in blitz is so small, having torps, even on UK ships, seems to
be more important than having scouts. Yes, of course this is "wrong" but that is how
it is. That being said, every once in awhile you get a non-Hobbit map. At the end of
this map, the leftover dd and ff run and hide and noone will ever find them because
noone has scouts. So having a scout onboard, even in hobbit-land, makes sense.
Also keep in mind that one day you'll get the uber-scout at level 120 so you must
focus on levelling up.

Super-Scout: Post-patch you have the super scout. So now getting that rookie pilot
to level 120 is more important than ever. You always want to have that rookie pilot
on board levelling up.

one thing in blitz it can be helpful for ships like cl's to use scouts for a cv sence most
low level cvs dont want to waste 1 more deck then they have too or waste plane space on
scouts other then that Recc'ed if i didnt use it for the day
and yes 1 more plane flying for a low level cv like a bomber is alot and can be the
difference between a dead BB and a crippled one.

Great guide. Just one other thing to add.

IJN has a fabled fighter/scout. Don't bother with it, it can barely shoot down a low level
scout. fp/db/tb anything else no chance. Even with a BVE Rookie Pilot.

If u didn't already knew this ....

the hope on you is all gone please quit the game we cannot help u.............

2 scouts can be usefull but if u go for aa on ur bb i would recommend u not to do it.
lets say for ijn u got 1 bo, 2 main gunners, 2 dp gunners, 1 scout, 5 engis and 3 reps.
another scout instead of the eng or rep will only either dont get ur rep cap or dont
give u a decent overheat time.

If u went uk then i could advice u to take 3 reps, 6 engis, 2 scouts, 2 gunners and a
bo. Since u still get the repair cap with 3 reps ( ye its uk ), and still have about 4-6
minutes oh ( depends on base, level and vets ). And u got the advantage of 2
scouts so if 1 gets shot down the other is already ready to send out. Which should
give u maximum sight because u are not depending on other people to scout for you.

The catch for this one is: if u got lazy/nub/or however u want to call them cv's ur still
screwed.
