  • Is it worth the stress sub players?

I know it has been talked about before. The famous, magical, IJN missing torps. And how
some many times IJN players have aimed and fired there torps with great accuracy only to
have them slide right under the ships they were trying to hit.

And as the added bonus, most of the time, the very ships that would be at the bottom of
the ocean had those torps hit, end up sinking the subs leaving the IJN player cheated and
really upset.

I have read its a 3/7 ratio that hits, im getting 1/4 most shots and really im ready to
forget IJN all together. Is it really worth it? The KM have a better hit rate and the
proxy torps. Whats the point of IJN, yes the 8 tubes, but since only 3/8 will hit, there
point less.

Don't bash me on this post, im frustrated and i know im not alone, some one just tell me
its worth getting the SS4 b/c im starting to have my doubts.

I can see that the SS 4 is actually really good even if most torps hit, you just have to
learn to deal with it. So thanks for your feedback, i wont give up on the IJN sub just
yet. See you all in the battleroom.

It is how it is, I guess...you have to compensate for the higher amount of duds by trying
to be a somewhat better player. Anticipate the diving enemy sub's movement, fire a small
arc of 2-4 torps at low speed and with a tad of luck, he's already gone before he knew
what hit him. Good luck when you're in a dogfight against a Km sub, though. It's really
annoying to see them shoot their torps like 5 meters next to yours and they still detonate
due to the proximity primers.

No, you're cheating us

Even if most dud, if you can aim it right and have them explode right under the ship
it doesn't really matter. SS4 is fun as hell, watching that massive block of torps rip
apart every ship the game. I would definately go for it.

Even the grind is pretty good. IJN torps do some good damage. Also, IJN subs have
an extra support slot (unless it has been changed.)

1-

all nations HR (hit rate) is rotulated as 70%. be it IJN, UK, or even KM. The funny thing
about KM is that, thx to the proximity ability, the game sort of "glitches" their torps,
meaning that when they supposedly would turn out to be "duds" (going throught the ship),
those same torps gets another 70% chance of exploding, this time bellow the ship. Thus
saying, and resuming: all nations get a 70% HR, except KM which gets 91%

i gotta say that the IJN T4 is very worth (meaning as OP). if you shoot both 8 torps the
exact moment then they will explode near/on the enemy ship, getting him by surprise, it is
sure that you will 1-shot even a L2
