question answered, gb2 gives the experience of learning and blitz is better for
exp/creds if your just starting out (aaing in gb2 being the exception).

I went with the Portland, and I definately pwned everything, from other CA's to BB's
(BB1's are food, due to horrible spread). Just learn CA tactics, which is stay back, and
play like a mini-BB.

If your using torps on any US ship above DD (I might give you CL, if it is an Omaha or
Atlanta), and complaining about the inability of the torps, your playing wrong,
because the US has some nasty ships with nasty guns. Learn the 8" angles and
you'll dominate, or you will find your reload lacking.

Portland and New Orleans can both armor really good when it comes to torps. I
maxed out the Portland on Bulge for haha's for a little. It dominated CV's. It took
more torps than they could hold lol. But dodging is still needed, otherwise you will be
screwed.

In a CA, you have to play back, shoot the other main ships, and retreat, making sure
you don't get rushed. I could essentially win the game, when my crew didn't reach
61. Now it's GB2 :( :( :(

You also get to learn everyone else, which is something else you don't see in GB2 as
much. It's much easier to learn the specific tactics of your Blitz comrads, than that of
your GB2 counterparts, as I see it.

with this size of map (hobbitwar) in blitz i think US CA are completely broken... as i
said before US Torps are already broken and with this tinny map the reload time on
CA's 8'' mk13s and mk14s make 'em useles for Blitz...

its true that in Blitz u can select map, but usually when making a new blitz players
leave the default map, and in the best of cases u cant change cannons every 2 or 3
battles

also CV (all nations) have a hard time... blitz usually is a school to beginner's CV1 or
2 and its the best place to learn how to bomb (tb and db) and how to use FP1 to
provide air superiority (not like in GB2 when FP1 are useless and local fighters are
only for defensive play)
but now due to extreme concentration of ships TB (with low lvl tb pilots) is much
more dificult, almost as dificult as in GB2... i can live with that but on the other hand
CV itself has no strategical depth to be safe at least for a couple of minutes to do his
job.

as i see it the hobbitwar beneficts IJN torps...

i hope that NF staff change back the default map on blitz to nowayout1 as this is the
best place for all nations

Game experience and skills: GB2
For the lulz: Blitz

if you want have much money then i shall go for blitz if your below lvl 60 but if you
wanna leveling then i shall go for GB2.

Blitz= credits,points
GB2= exp

Ideally, if you're a low level ship in blitz, you're learning how to shoot and avoid
torpedoes. Whereas a low level ship in GB2 is learning how to AA and ASW.

Sadly, scout plane use is not taught in either game mode. =(

blizt doesnt teach you shit anymore. The size of the map actually allows fail setup to
somewhat work.

CL gunner CA with torps are the norm now sadly.


Best way to learn I think is coming to this forum and reading guides or having a more
experienced friend or a fleetmate teach you.

Blitz is good to learn when your in a CL/CA. GB2 is good when your in a DD/CL.
I suggest staying in Blitz as long as possible to level slower, but to earn more credits,
and give more time to learn.

Blizt = nuke skillz.

Dont go there to learn, you go there once you are a seasoned NF player that feels like
farming clueless people.

I started thinking : zomg they are nuking BB1 learning with blizt when they allowed them in.

Zomg they are encouraging BW when they allowed cv12 in. (then following patches finished
convincing me of this point)

and now with the hobbit war patch:


eh look they are encouraging HHE 6" CA with belt and torps!

Lets just say said people cries when they end up in Gb and gb2 with their BB1s and get
silly raped cuz they learned nothing they need for the following of the game.

Easier blizt however created a new category of players that I call blitz player.

They even created a fleet on NY (bismarck). players reach 60. sells the crew. start back.
or have 4-5 BOs and tons of crew man they rotate and always have a 50 or around crew and
play blizt only.

SDE is causing its beta player to leave, and I find it quite sad.
