I have trouble finding out if the enemy is blind or not.

play it like KM: sneak in when they're blind, sling some 15in shells into em, run like
hell when they're still blind, wash off their salvo, rep even faster, shoot down that
scout of theirs, wait for them to be distracted, repeat and cycle until 1) you die, 2)
they die or 3) everyone except you dies. In Blitz, i wanna say AW it if possiable, but
you'd be picked to death by the small boats....

Renown is ignored by many BB players. Dash in when the big boys are occupied.
BB4,5,&6s usually will stay focused on more dangerous targets even when you start
plunking them some. It's a BB1, so don't expect too much.

However, if you let yourself get in range when the big BBs are bored and looking for
something to shoot -- prepare for a quick death.

If you can, buy a Dunk to add some variety to the Renown/Repulse grind.

Surviving in BB1's is almost a rite-of-passage for a new player. Skipping the Renown
would steal the learning experience that you get from driving it. BB1's really play on
luck, look for that opportunity to get some shots in, then get out of there before
anything big starts looking for a snack.

At-level Repulse is rougher than at-level Renown.

Spread is everything and Repulse spread is everywhere.

when i go to the renown, i stopped and started the other line to get my supports up

after i got to pow i went back to renown and used speed setup with 2 dual 15" and no rear
turret

49 knots speed boat, was a really fun easy grind, got to nelson in no time

If you've got a good set of AA gunners by chance, the renown is awesome with pom
poms.

Mainly what I do it just cruise around killing aircraft for a while. Then if my team is
winning I rush ahead and get a few shots off on a cv or a busy enemy bb. If my team is
losing I counter rush and fire the front guns only. Do this and you'll be in repulse in no
time.

I love the renown. Its not that bad. I say go for it, it will be a good learning
experience for you.
