  • My insights on the B65

Well i got my B65 yesterday. Before i got it i have been warned about how it would suck
yada yada. I think this is unjust. B65 is certainly not the best PBB around. But its
certainly not as bad as people say it is. I think it all depends on personal preference.

People who dont like a ship say it sucks while its actually THEM not liking the ship. I
had the same thing before i got my H44. People said it sucked and when i got it i found
out it doesnt suck at all!

Point of this thread would be to rectify people saying ships suck while the ships really
dont suck.

Anyways, i have read about how the B65 would play much like the Yamato. I feel this is
true as ive played both. So lets compare them:

-B65 has less range (Kinda obvious as Yamato is a BB4)
-B65 has a worse spread (Yep but its better in my opinion than Nagato)
-B65 has better speed
-B65 has a smaller profile
-Yamato has more AA slots
-Yamato has more scouts

Not sure about the turning force but B65 got good turning force.

I just think that people who havent played a ship before simply cannot say if it sucks or
not. Simply because they dont know.

This is not a thread made to be flamed although i have a feeling it will as there appears
to be alot of "B65 suck" people around. Im just giving an insight on how i experience my
B65 and giving my opinion about people who say ships suck while they havent played that ship.

B65 serves its purpose: a playable BB with lots of sailor slots to level up. Its AA
rocks.

However, Fuso/Ise is a whole lot more fun to play.

In general, Sevas and AD are easier to play effectively against higher level ships
than Dunk and B65.

I like the B65. It's hard to love compared to the other PBB's, but it's speed and AA
combo make it a very useable ship.

ConnectFour, Sevas is better than Dunky. And from personal experience i think Dunky is the
worst PBB. Dunky has bad spread, weird back Tslots and isnt all that fast. B65 has usable
AA slots with normal placements, good speed, and indeed plays like Yamato.

Ofcourse once you get Yamato theres no point of playing B65. As with all the PBB really.

its the worst pbb and its painful and frustrating to play. Playing the other pbbs is far
more fun and less effort.

but its worth the money spent

you learn how to play the yamato in it (its like a mini yamato in every way)
you level all of your yamato crew (7 supports same as yamato)
the $ you spend on the ship you make up for by getting free experts and vets through
aaing. (you spend most of the time aaing in it anyway)

once you can use the yamato theres really no reason to use the b65 anymore.

i dont think the b65 needs a boost, its saved me alot of money on my crew and its taught
me everything i need to know about the yamato. If you cant put up with all its faults then
ijn is probably not the line for you.

Theres allways going to be a worst pbb, if you boost the b65 then the sevastapol will
probably become the worst pbb, then if they boost that then the dunk will, then the AD
will .... it will be a never ending circle :X

I Liked the B65, but found it to be quite a big target concidering it doesnt have the
range or the shell damage, like the big boys.

Gah, I fail at AAing in general since the BB43AA patch, screwed up 105 levels of 25
degrees GA.

But meh, AA's fun >.>

(Oh and, the tripple 6.1"s have the second highest AA damage in game, I find it
quite effective if used right.)

"That is why sometimes you see Mog/Myoko AA ships with 4.7 turrets and 6.1. The
ripple fire gives you a simulated faster reload so that you can find altitudes."

I purposely got my IJN dp gunners to fire off sync just so I could do this.....without
having to use gradual.

@Angus
"IJN AA'ers don't rely on reload time".

I agree with normal, helpful CV drivers who keep their planes at golden angle or even
those bothersome ones which change the altitude.

But against a good CV driver who is shifting altitudes frequently, you need a good
reload to find the angle.

That is why sometimes you see Mog/Myoko AA ships with 4.7 turrets and 6.1. The
ripple fire gives you a simulated faster reload so that you can find altitudes. Of course
on the Mog if you give up a trip 6 turret for a dual 4.7 you lose a lot of firepower.

The obvious solution is to not allow CVs to change altitude of planes! :)

I have used UK AA and i didnt like it. Slow reload and short range makes them not worth
using IN MY OPINION! The only AA guns for UK I FIND usable are the PomPoms which arent all
that good but loads of fun anyways.

Ah so Tatsuda and B65 are in the same boat? Hmm a DD and a BB. Nice to know their in the
same boat faller because frankly i never knew they had the same stats.

Ofcourse there are some people that buy the B65 and play it. And im not the only one who
likes the B65. The simple fact is that getting 100K in a PBB is nothing. True on that as i
previously said. Ofcourse i can do over 100K in my other PBBs. But if youve read my whole
posts then you would have known that I ALSO SAID THAT GETTING 100K+ GAME ISNT MEANING ALOT
OTHER THAN THE FACT THAT IF B65 SUCKED AS MUCH AS PEOPLE MAKE IT OUT TO BE, THEN I SHOULD
NOT BE ABLE TO DO THAT UNLESS THE ENEMY TEAM REALLY REALLY SUCKED!

Also the reason why i say it doesnt seem your understanding my points is because very
often it seems you dont. Alot of times if i read your replys to one of my posts it doesnt
seem you read the whole story.
Im not afraid of admitting my mistakes. Im not like "Oh lets disagree with whatever Faller
says". If your right then your right. If i think differently i put that up. And apperantly
you cant have that because as soon as i put MY THOUGHTS up and disagree with you, your
keep going about how i always seem to disagree with you. At any rate Faller this last part
is getting a bit too personal and offtopic and think we should continue this on our own
forums or PMs idk.

"UK AA sucks. Thats a fact. I was only stating that B65 IS better in some things than
another PBB."

how can you blame ppl for stating a fact about a ship they didnt try, when after that you
aswell state a fact about some AA guns in a nation that you havent thouroughly used?

"And Tatsuda wasnt even mentioned here. How can you just say that i said
Tatsuda is actually a good ship when i never said that."

correlation, buddy. B65 and tatsuda are on the same boat, hence if youre gonna state that
about B65, u're stating same thing indirectly about tatsuda.

And seriously, saying that B65 is not played for what other ppl say is being too naive
thinking. No matter what other ppl say, there's always a few handfull of ppl that try the
ship, and if the ship was indeed good, those ppl would say the ship was infact good. SO
FAR, you're the only person that says it, backed for the fact that you managed to make
more than 100K atk that you never made in another PBB ship, and ppl already discredit that
fact by saying that making high attack doesnt entirely mean the ship is good, specially
because it can happen the other team sucked badly.

another thing. Stop saying everytime when im argueing with ur ideas that im not
understanding ur point. I do understand ur points everytime, but u always come with that
line dunno why. Is that your way of saying "I dont approve your facts even if they are
right"? Just say so, im not here to beat in a dead horse for nothing
