personal opinion...........

go both i have, i have a akagi and a juno, as soon as my akagi BO makes the
shinaro iam going to go back and play the juno with kick ass flyboys for a CV2.

i chose the hosho line first as there is not long to wait between getting new ships,
howevere the juno line are hard to hit(smaller/slimer if you forget about the tahio)
and turn better, but as i have a short attention span the hosho was the line to start
on.

id say level both so your fps are above the cv5 level by the time u hit it on the 2nd b.o :P

Because some people like to play the game then just grind their way to the end ships?
no offense, but comon, of course the top ships must be your ultimate goal, but you must
enjoy your ride

u will use shinano or pcv after that anyway, y need to think about using either 1 of

I agree. The Shokaku is an awesome ship. It looks good too. :]

Shokaku looks better, especially with a 110 medal, the 120 medals looks ok with it. My
fleet tag goes perfectly with it though :)

The reason why I went for Kaga line is that the grind between the CVs is a lot shorter
than that of the other CV line. Besides this, I think the other line is somewhat better
due to faster/more agile CVs and a bit smaller hitboxes.

Ya, i think people are over looking some difference for the way there...
maybe kaga/shokaku are similar, but their lines are quite difference...i'm in favor for lvling
both lines, i started at the hosho line, got almost untill akagi, than decided to lvl the other line
well the post above me already states some differences betwen both lines, just like to point
out another, the kaga line has more remods...ok you are a cv so money shouldn't be that
much of a problem, but bottom line is that every time you remod you loose a fair amount of
money (you can't get the remodel cost back when selling a ship)...for akagi it's 1m, and for
kaga another 1m...but for that cost you'll also get much more cv options...
decide not on those final ships, but on the lines...there is a lot of posts about differences
betwen lines

well you need to ask your self a few think, do you want to be a serious CV player with a
lot of variety? if the answer yes you got the right nation CV to play

i mean the reason for me choose the IJN nation and play CV because IJN got 2 CV line that
both line provide a badass CV ship(both shokaku or kaga) and you need 2 BO with 2 full
crew so at the end you can have alot of variety to change your tactic (now i got 8 FP, 5
DB and 3 TB also 2 seaman and 1 medic almost at the same level all of them). i know its
slow but its worthed

if you only want to choose 1 line from another well.. since i play both line i can give my
own opinion for those line:

- shokaku line:
* awesome line but you need to be patient because the first CV that you can get is when
your BO is level 60
* they got a better speed then the kaga line(yes it can run faster)
* better at dodging the torpedo and turning point
* somehow its just a bit smaller then kaga line ship
* 1 level faster for the shokaku line to get the shokaku CV(lv 95)
* less ship

- kaga line:
* more in displacement (but not much tho..)
* big and hard to turn/dodge
* more slow/less speed then shokaku line
* when you get your next ship in shokaku line, in kaga line you already half way to your
next tier ship
* more ship(including those upgrade ship) then the shokaku
* for the kaga is lv 96 compare to shokaku that you can obtain when your bo lv at 95


the only think that makes you should not worried was the last line of CV is only one from both
line(CV 6) so which one? depends on yours chooise

Ditto on the "go both lines".

It really isn't as hard as you probably think it is.

Worse comes to worse, and you can only choose one, simply choose the one you think looks
sexier. The difference in performance between the Kaga and Shokaku are moot. The only
thing different between the two are essentially the looks.
