Asama would need its set of triple like the the furious got, as the IJN 12" are far from
having UK 15" hit power.

Asama can be a bit more decent firepower wise once the gunners get the 14" N guns. Which
sux cuz when you get them, normally you are enjoying a lot pwning things with a massive
fuso salvo, and couldnt care less for that crap PCA in your harbor.

So as far as the Myoko-Kongo grind is concerned, myoko-mog CA (= slower myoko with extra
range and dp)-kongo.

Save that 4,99$ for something else.

PCA has much less XP penalty than CA.

p.s. those who agree that Asama sucks, please go to Suggestions forum and
recommmend my thread requesting Asama buff.

yes but its only got 2 main gun turrets that mount dual guns with horrible spread, AND its
about as wide as a bb5. You can play it as an AA ship to support a bb line, but as a CA
its just as useless as the furious. Theres a reason you almost NEVER see either of those
2 ships...they are both inferior to their respective nations' "normal" CAs, and who wants
to shell out $5 for a boat thats nowhere near as good as the one you get for free?

Asama does have the extra crew slot.

Myoko = good CA
Mogami = Great CA
Asama = useless target

Everyone has covered the topic well but I can't help but add my 2 cents.

Mog > Myoko (by a tiny bit):
The extra ammo space of Mog allows you to take the 2nd set of 8" guns which will
allow you to absolutely pwn in Blitz (for those 2 or 3 levels you can use them for). It
will be the first real joy that IJN has offered to the gunship player. You can pwn all
CA and BB1.

Myoko is a slightly smaller hitbox.

Mog and Myoko are the best AA platforms for IJN (see Kraut's guide) with the trip
6.1a guns on the R slots. Even better, put hedgehogs on the T-slots and make
yourship a very useful escort.

Asama
Its crap. You might buy one later if you get bored and use it for lolz (i.e. with torps
on the t-slots or with hedgehogs on t-slots for a sub vendetta boat). You will not be
happy that you bought it it is not that much fun.

Asama is a bad pca, realy not worthy on my opinion...
about myoko-mog, both are great CAs, that can easly own a ca below game if used
correctly , the mog with 8" has almost the PE range, with more fire power, and they
have 5 R slots...a bit weak but there speed should be able to keep you out of most
enemys range

quite a bit to take in there krauts08 lol but a great analyisis of the three, hmm
seeing as myoko and mogami are so similar and my gunners arnt high enough lvl to
run the 12's let alon the 14's yet for the asama and i use a 44' mogami already ill go
with the
myoko then. thanks for the help guys

I think Mog has bigger firing arcs than Myoko.
