i find that my lvl 105 retorer works great on my BB as well as my Cv.
i resently played a game where the Cv's did nothing but BW. i couldnt believe it.
Here i am sending my ftrs out to kill enemy ftrs and these jerks following my ftrs
with thier TB and DB;s.
Mean while our team is blind cause 3 cv's are BW and i am only one sending out ftrs.
WE lost but i am sure those cv's got great exp... Carppy selfish Cv players suck....

It would depend on what base stat the Restorer(s) have.

Edit: He beat me to it. :( I'd keep the Restorer for your CV in the long run or in your
Sub Crew.

You cannot change its class from restorer to repairer, the lines are different.
I'd advise you to use an engy on your CVs to escape subs, and they give some SD too, + the
seaman gives a lot of SD.

Inregards to the Restorer, I thought about having him available for my CV, or if there
is say some kind of rule change.

But I also wondered about reclassing him to Repairer. Would this be a sound tactic?

You won't need the Restorer when you reach higher levels, so you can get another
engy or go 4-Engy-4-Rep.

I was just listing my pilots. After reading many guides, including Lord Kelvin's, my
total crew, all US Sailors are

BO x5
ENG x4
REP x3
RES x1
MED x1
SEA x1
Radio x1

ACC GUN x2
REL GUN x2

FP x8
TB x3
DB x3
RB x1

Torp x2
Plane x1
Sonar x1

Get atleast 4 or 5 fighter pilots and either 2 or 3 DB or TB bombers also maybe a
medic.

Why no Seaman and why no medic?

If you want to have a competitive CV crew, you will want to have a Seaman.

If you want to have fun while grinding, you will want to have a Medic.

In training I have....

8x FP
3x DB
3x TB
1x RP

so I will hopefully be prepared for every eventuality. Everyone is currently at Level
25. I'm using 5 BO's, so I'm hoping to have some badassed pilots ready for my CV
when I get there. Just 20 more levels. :)
