if u have a cv you'll know there's different plane-loading circles for scouts/ftr/tb/db
BBs (except for ise) only have the Scouts loading circle.

and since only rookie pilots can fly scout planes....... tadaaa 1+1=2

Alaska's a fine ship... unless you're in GB/GB2 mode. Then you're taking up a
valuable battleship space.

My advice... practice with your AA armament. Until you clear South Dakota, your role
in a GB game will be to rush in when you can score hits on a blinded enemy and
LURK until then shooting down every plane that gets close. Plus, the AA guns will
make experts. lots of experts.

BTW Alaska is crap, stay in the Baltimore until 59.

It's pretty cut-and-dry, Grim. Exactly what the other two have said:

BB and BC can only carry scout planes. Leave your pilot as a Rookie. Forever. Promote him,
and he won't be able to fly scout planes anymore, and will therefore be useless.

You can put fighter and bomber PILOTS on a BB, and they will still level. But they won't
do a damn thing for you.
