To break up the monotony of the grind to a Nebraska, I thought I'd repeat something
silly I have done on occasion with my Iowa, by armor whoring my Montana.

***DISCLAIMER***
Yes, I know that with a few exceptions(New Orleans ect...) that US ships can't be
effectively AW'ed. Yes, I know that pretty much only UK ships can be AW'ed with
usable setups for GB/GB2. Yes, (insert random AW rant/moan/epeen whine.) I was
getting bored with my normal grind and needed something silly to break up the
monotony.

So I decided to AW my Monty. Using the experience I had gained while trying this on
my Iowa, I new I wouldn't be able to use the standard Monty guns, that I would
need a smaller engine, and that I'd need to remove pretty much every sailor except
my BO, Acc gunners, and lowbie scout that I leveled for this exact purpose.

To keep a long story short, I had to fit the SoDak "D" guns, use the "light" CV engine,
and fit only four binds of ammo per gun, but I was able to load 13" of deck armor.

I was rewarded during one game with the following quote from a fellow Monty pilot
when his shells rained in on me, bouncing for little or no damage: "seriously? Who
deck armors a monty?"
