Allied Side (US UK MN) only have 50% of their ability working on a different nation ship
of the same Side.

Axis Side (KM IJN MN) Only have 50% of their ability working on a different nation ship of
the same side.

Axis nation sailors on Allied ships only work for 25% ability and vice versa.

and does that mean you havn't been classing your sailors up on time? cause you only do
that with fighters...

what if you haven't classed them up yet, but they have a nation... will that count? e.g.
support sailor (rep, engy)

and not the ability penalty is not forever its only for the time they are on some off
nation ship.

I cant quantify the penalty exactly. Some say vets dont count, some say they work with 30%
of the ability. Just try it out urself, but a sailor on a on nation ship, and see how much
SD he gives, put him on an of nation ship and see what xp he gives, the difference should
give you an indication on how much the ability penalty is.

But it does not really matter, because is so much they are useless, just do it when u dont
have to level anything on an off nation slot anyways, or you for example have some emden
and want experts on your UK/US crew. The guys will sit on the ship doing next to nothing,
but they get experts/experience just like any other sailor.

PS dont put off nation engies in the support slot due tue the way speed works they will
slow you donw due tue the ability penalty, your better off putting off nation engies in
the T-Slots.

Im more interested in if that penalty is permanent or just as long as your using them on
another nations ship.

how much of an abillity penalty?

there is no xp penalty for leveling off nation sailors on some ship. There is only an
ability penalty.
