Well...i've been raising my USA BO since 1 month ago (my first bo in this game) and he
is lvl 41 now, but the more i level up, the more i get concerned about the BBs. As i saw
on the BBs guide they are really weak, for example: a BB1 courbet just sink the lvl 54
atlanta so easy even with the guam remodel, and people say "Usa BBs sucks". This is
really disappointing, and i want to know if today the usa bbs has got any better, i
mean, whats the good thing about them? its frustating me and im thinking to raise a
IJN BO instead of him.

Sry about my english, im from brazil.

I can break 200k attack in a gb2 in all 4 of the us bb2s and both us bb3s.

USN bb are awesome if you play them correctly and have 4 or 5 engineers.

I won't lie, I preferred the Nevada to the Penn30, but that was only because my
Nevada went a knot faster than my Penn30, and ten 14" shells hit hard enough for
most purposes.

All of the pre-model Standards are pretty damn awesome, though it largely comes down
to personal preference. For me, a non-glass jaw, low-angle slinger is worth the drop in
speed, though the loss of AA is tough to deal with.

LK: Even the Penn 30? (I vastly preferred the Guam, and found the Nevada rather less
painful...)

darklegends8: Yeah, but everyone knows that the O2/Bismark are good in BB rooms. 42-44
knot NoCars are unexpected. (I suppose that a Hood would also work, but I'm not going to
level a UK crew anytime soon)

There's a saying that I like to apply every now and then:

There's no such thing as a bad USN BB, only a bad USN BB driver.

It would probably be worth starting another BO on the other US BB line right now -- more
ship variety, and you'll get higher level supports. (Though recent patches mean that US
BBs aren't quite as engineer-hungry as they used to be)

And yes, there are some gems in the US ships. Taking a North Carolina into a BB123 room
is quite fun. =)
