meh I dont even bother trying to get 42 on my iowa anymore.

With maxed out crew at all 120 its just too fat to even go 42.

So I take the slow route and go 23/39 with 210+ bulge and 0.2 belt.

I run 3 bulge no belt on my iowa, still goes 42, with 120 crew.

i got 42 with my iowa with 120 crew i just have a light scout and trimmer gunners along
with not using 1 rep

get use to 40 knot iowa, 39 monty.

you're looking at a guy who bumps 5 year old threads asking mods to lock it. so yea.

anywho the answer is eventually it will not be possible without gimped crew. With the
amount of subs these days though, the 42 knot iowa is a really vulnerable setup. I ran it
with AA and around 70 bulge at 40 knots. Its a different playstyle, having a 40-knot BB4.
I honestly liked 42 knot iowa much better but at least the IJN SS4 can't 1 shot you with
just splash anymore. I'd still pull it out for BB rooms though.

Not really, but skimming your scout, BO, and gunners will delay the speed drop.

9 bulge on an Iowa is ~325 tons. Once your 8 supports have gained 11 more levels (that
is, the first of them hitting 110), they will be ~350+ tons heavier.


edit: Eh, I had the same problems trying to keep the SoDak at 28/47 and Penn 43 at 26/44
while running AA on both...

I guess I can trim back the scout, and gunners( to their caps) but its disgusting that I
can only fit that much bulge on here. I just got the Montana and i can fit 38 bulge on it.

Gimp set up or trim your gunners/scout.

My roughly lvl 110 crew can go 40 knots on Iowa with ~100 bulge + .3 belt.
