So, am I just doomed with a ship that can even be out ranged by DD's on a regular
basis?

I'm mounting the tripple 6 inchers ... needless to say, I'm not all that impressed ...
up close I'll tear up stuff ... but sheesh ... getting there can be a pain.

meh.

brook tactic:

see target.
Rush target
laugh at target that let you get in range
pummel target with that shortranged spamstick they call a CL2
win.

If the target wants to keep its range, note the player name and dont approach him again
unless he is distracted. But i can tell ya it aint that many of them in blitz.

Oh I always use 6"trip N with heavy HE, since ammo shortage problem always
occurs.

"u gotta be using the wrong gun make sure you have the L one every time for range
and also use light shells you will be using them later on in life so get used to them
now."

Toss those tripple 6"Ls on there with LHE, face an Mpro with the proper 6.75" dual Ls
(second set) using LHE as well, see you at the bottom of the sea... :D

Yep. Neut 6" is great.

But Hobbit War map is too small and hard to keep range from big, massive powered
ships.

You guys have to be kidding me.

Have any of you leveled a neut crew, at all?

Try the second set of 6" singles L + light HE on a DDN1 Mod 1.

2 binds of blitz sniping fun. You will out range all CLs easy and the CAs will have a hard
time hitting you due to your PCL size.

From my experience, if you have good accuracy gunners the brooklyn becomes even
more fun than it already is. 15 shells doing 150 damage each, all landing on the deck
of some poor DD = >:D

okay ... let's be clear ...

yes, I am using manual aiming
yes, I'm using the 6 inch tripples ending in L
yes, I'm using the light shells.

I think the DDs that were outranging me were infact those little mini-cruisers that
pack a huge punch. None-the-less going toe to toe with a CL2 or higher is sketchy
at best. I've leveled up my BO to get the Cleveland, but I think I'll stay with the
brooklyn for now and earn my stripes.

also make sure you are using MANUAL do it now and get it right so when you get to
bb class your not acting like a noob

okay, I think I figured it out ... those DD's that I thought were outranging me were
those really small premium ships ... at least I that what I think.

either way, the Brook is a little frustrating ... but I guess that's just part of learning
the game ... hoping that as my gunners get better, spread will become less of an
issue and I can start dishing out some respectable damage against CL2 and up.
