a player unto himself, who brought great humour and also great debates.

however. he also left us with some very familiar things that even now still go on today.

Ship humping in waiting rooms.
thats a frequent one that spread like a wild fire and goes on a lot today. but how many
people remember it was Obst that started that?

avatar sailor backgrounds.
iirc, he was the one who helped people/gave people the edited clean blank image of the sailor
background to then put whatever image on top of it in the sailors place. (check my avatar).

can anyone else think of any other legacies by others, or even obst?
