Why skip the Bogue? It teaches you how to play CV regardless...And by the time
you've skipped on over to the Indy, you'll probably be scratching your head in
confusion.

One advice, skip bouge and go for indi using the CA to level. Bouge is the worst cv out
there, and ireally had em all now. Hosho, Oyo and Mog are superb cv compared to bouge, and
everyone saying Oyo is the worst cv there is hasnt played bouge. The thing is a crappy as
every cv1, but in addition its slow as hell.

Uh, morgan. You can't vet a pilot (or anything else) from 99 vets to 109. It would
have to be with another +1 vet to work. Or you would have to burn experts (so
keep those +100 expert packs ready) to increase vets past the 40% limit. I tried
that already and it said vet limit is over 40%. =/

To answer without rehashing, I'll get back to you in another hour or so while I try it
out.

2. Sonlirain gave a good advice, level up 2 bo.
--- Ehem that was me.

You will load up your pilots alternately since space in ships are not enough.
--- If you have 2 BOs then all you need to transfer are your gunners and supports.

It is also better to have the level of your pilots higher than your bo.
--- Forget the BO. Level your pilots higher than their required plane level.

2. Sonlirain gave a good advice, level up 2 bo. You will load up your pilots alternately
since space in ships are not enough. Pilots must be almost same level so choice of tiers
in the future will not be a problem. It is also better to have the level of your pilots
higher than your bo.
4. vets still die when your cv is clobbered by shells.

* level up your own fighter pilots to be sure.
** you can buy extra bomber pilots in the future.

Btw Good Set-Ups for pilots for the CV1-3s are 4FT/2 DB or TB or 4DB/TB/2FT or All FT
no Bomberwhore.( you will regret it.) and CV4-6 is 6FT/2DB 2 FT or 6 DB/TB And 2 FT
or 6-8 FTs No Bomber Whore or you can do 4Fts/4 DBs or TBs(My type of set-up
cause I like to bomb alot.)

Some good points made, I dun wanna rehash. CV related I wouldn't pwr level anything. You
want the best over ability for your Ship as well as the most experts and vets you can
accumulate now for them.

Personally I would visit the NF store and buy up experts and vet them fp to 99 then ten
pack to 109 vet. Then get some wins in and AA in the atlanta/oakland for experts and burn
them on the good games for easier vet conversion below the lvl 50-60 rule of thumb and you
can get some pretty well vetted fighters and seaman.

Spending the real money right now will best benefit you long term, than spending it later.
Just some food for thought. NF Items you need.

I am a new CV player too but already has a high level BB crew. I'd give this advice
assuming that you already played and has a BB. Because if CV is your first line, I am
not sure you will have enough credits to buy a CV when you get one.

1) wich ships i should be using from level 1 to level 50?
- Play Fletcher, Somers, Omaha using ASW (depth charges) in GB2.
- Play Atlanta all the way to CV1. Gets experience and experts with very minimal vet
and expert loss on your side. In GB2 off course.
--- Assuming you have a pair of good gunners, AAing in Atlanta will be a breeze for
you in GB2. I successfully leveled my 2nd BO from Atlanta to Nevada by AAing in GB2.
I also successfully leveled my 3rd BO from Atlanta to Bogue by AAing in GB2.
--- Having 2 extra BOs will be handy. Your primary BO (future CV BO) can be used for
leveling fighters while the secondary BO (2nd line BB) can be used to level your
bombers.
--- Once you have a CV BO capable of using a CV1 (Bogue), you can now go back to
blitz (assuming that you now have confident fighter/bomber crews) and have fun.
You may not learn much of the CV tactics in blitz, but hey, you need credits and you
must have watch and learned how experienced CV players play during your stint in
GB2.

2) a New Orleans packs 9 sailors, where am i supposed to get 10th sailor for Essex
(cv3) from?
- I bypassed all CAs from Atlanta to Bogue. Having 2 BOs will solve your 10th sailor
for the essex. And if you already have a previous BB crew, your engies will be useful.

3) should i powerlevel some sailors and wich ones?
- After my CV BO and crew graduated from blitz, I stopped there because I am pretty
sure my pilots will be a fiesta grande for high level pilots in GB2. I am now power-
leveling them now in my PBB/EBB in GB2. I plan to use them again when I am
confident enough that they can go toe to toe with other planes in GB2.

4) are seaman and medic a must-have on a CV?
- I do have a medic and I notice that I rarely lose experts from my pilots. Yes, vets do
not die now but be wary that pilots bleed experts. Having a medic is still handy.
About seamen, I do read and heard that it is a must. Now I am rolling for a good
seaman with 14/15 pot, 12 FT and 12 BM.

These are my advices on how to level your crew. Learning the skills still will come
from in game experiences :D
