when i first started this game (3 weeks ago) i had no idea what was going on... needless
to say i still dont really know whats going on. Anyway im in my county and i cant hit
anything, my gunners stink and my crew is all messed up. should i wait a bit longer until
i fully understand everything or restart, and learn as i go with a few mistakes?
Thanks

It's a very good thing that you have posted something in the forum. My suggestion is read,
read, read the tips and tactics when you wait for the battle to start and when you feel
you know enough about the game you can restart (make a new crew).

Enjoy the game :)

I messed my sailors up too and I'm at Emerald now. Ended up switching to RN right
after I'd classed everyone KM and I didn't even pay attention to what I rolled.
Kinda of tedious to have to spend so much time rolling sailors.
Maybe I should have stayed KM - I read that RN had good AW and wanted to try it
only to find out you needs tons of credits which I don't have.

Would be nice if I could sell my KM crew but haven't had much luck.

adamai and foxhounds31 are right.

read fixer_1140's and ljsevern's guide, this will give you an idea on your crew set up...

Might really want to visit the tips and tactics section of the forum and read the guides
there.

Thank you both for your replies, i ended up re-rolling new players with better base
stats.... took almost 4 hours to get everyone and like 200k points but worth it. when i
first started i made my crew different nationality (thinking, i'll just have two ships...)
but then i had a wide spread of levels... sticking with one boat at a time now should do
the trick...

ok restart now.

its very important with your yellow sailors that they stay as their intended titles.

i.e.

gunners must be gunners
radio op must be your radio op
Bo must be your bo
torpmen must be your torp men.

and so on

this is the basic starting crew, i also made that same mistake when i first started
playing and found myself rerolling new sailors so they matched and was right for the
roles on the ship i needed them for.

so yes while you are still not very far up the lvl ladder restart now.

next thing is to try keep all your experts at the same amount and same with your
vets. it keepps them synced when firing.

if you can afford it buy your self a pair of elite acc gunners. gunners are your most
important crew members.

a good allround set of gunners would have 11 accc and 11 reload. most people tend
to roll +12 acc +10 reload as they eventualy reach cap for both stats anyway. the
more acc you have the tighter and more accurate your guns will be. your bo allows
you to see. if he has crap stats your vision will be short if hes good it will be good.

only reason people use elite sailors is to get a better performance from their sailors
sooner on in there levels. and again if you have the cash boost your crews on the nf
store.

never waste your money on crews that are messed up. if you do try to roll your own
gunners try your hardest to make them as identical as you can with the best stats
you can.

The only reason why you'd "restart" is if your sailors had bad +base for their specialty,
or if you wanted a different crew (CV or SS vs BB). I.E. +9 Accuracy +9 Reload Gunners.
All your support crew are restores and such like that. My gunners are Elite Reload at lvl
92 and they don't have a very tight spread, most times when I miss, its because of user
error.

With that said, your already to County in 3 weeks, you'd be back in fewer with your
experience. Your call, but you might restart, get back to the county and find you still
can't hit anything. Give it some time, some experts vets, maybe even a boost and you'll
be doing fine.
