  • Regular HH - costing credits?

Coming froma new player, so advice rather than OMGWTFPWNPWN!!1! would be
appriceated;

I was using regular hh (as opposed to prem hh) on my DD as both an anti-SS & anti-
ship weapon when the opportunity presented itself.
But after each battle when I returned to my shipyard I had lost anywhere up to
almost 1000 credits, despite often doing more than 10k damage.

I wasnt hitting team members, TK-ing or doing anything against the rules as far as I
can tell, simply doing good amounts of damage until I sank or the team won the
battle. So why am I losing credits? I had guns on my DD as well, did some damage
with them so cant understand why.

Oh, and was playing in both Blitz & GB games.

Thx in advance for any good advice/explanations.

Okay thanks for your help on this one. Maybe one day when Im not sctraching for
credits Ill have some more fun with HH and that expensive ammunition but for now ill
leave it alone

actually i started a new crew and found this tooo main problem AMOUNT LOADED lol i
had filled up for the long haul and i found that by limiting to say 2-4 salvos loaded
that my repair WAS MUCH cheaper

Yeah, use guns and Depth Charges until you earn up some credits. HH's are mainly
useful for CA's, CV's and BB's.

What rocketeer1 said. HH are too expensive for a new DD/CL to realistically do much ASW.
AA or play blitz instead if you want to be able to afford your next ship.

mate HH is something to use against SS.. something created for bbs protection cuz ss
was so hard to kill .. not to play just with hh...thats why it take so much time to reload..
if u want to fight, u better use torps or main guns..

Okay, I guess I understand now. Seems very strange that there is a weapon that
basically cost-uneffective to use in the game.

Maybe this is the same with other weapons, like I said, still new at this! A bit of a
setback though, it was several games before I realised my credits were depleting
fast!!

Its not that your doin anything wrong. Had you noticed how much one salvo on one
HH launcher costs? Its 500 credits. So that adds up pretty fast.
