Pensacola is googd for GB2s cause they have good aa power plus the larger guns
are good defence. +premium you'll lvl up in no time.

AA will level sailors into the 70s easily. Xp from AA is through the roof, and is
something virtually anyone can do. Omaha till you are too heavy, then Pensa (if you
cannot afford to buy PCA, go to brooklyn cleveland). If you still struggle after leveling
crew up to 70+ in BB1-2, Alaska and Guam can both effectively AA, at which point learning
how to determine when the enemy is blind based on shooting down scouts. A guam with Trip
14Ds with HHE can sink blind/distracted BB4-BB5, I have seen others do it and followed
their instruction on how to do it.

If you are going to use the AA ship idea, the Atlanta class light cruisers (Atlanta and
the remodels) all work exceptionally well. I heard Omaha can do the job but I'm just not
fond of it.

Once u outgrow your AA needs or get fed up wit it if you have reload gunners you are using
for AA as well as main gunners you could move up to Guam if you are going the South Dakota
route. There isn't really any other way to level a CV crew except for in a CV.

Get also the Prem ships (Specifically, the Pensacola. It works wonders). They don't
require a BO.

If not that, try to do an AA ship. GB II's need for AA ships never run short.
