the best way to play an oyodo to me is to act as an AAship with your local fighters. it
gives you huge amount of $$ and exp in gb2. after u use up your local fighters just rush
with your cannons or torpedo. you will get to the next ship in no time.

Try killing subs with those TBs. They do nice damage against them and rarely get shot down
by their AAW since SS AAW is far below average.

In addition to the above:
If you have (T1) fighters, you can plink scouts and bombers. It works surprisingly well
against blitz-level planes.

If you have a bunch of rookie pilots and mines, go wild with them. Especially on maps
with limited room to maneuver.

You're not a flat top. Those R and T slots offer a fair amount of firepower, so rushing
FF/DD shouldn't be as much of a problem as they are on a real CV1 (Hosho, Bogue, Attacker,
etc.)

know what your TBing so you avoid ships with uber AAW. only play in blitz, dont try
GB/GB2. try manual torping so your target does not know your comming. if your in a fleet
maybe your fleet mates will help you in a test room to learn this.

but in general IJN T1 TB suck, mostly because you get them so far in advance of any other
nation.

ive played down the oyodo line twice (i have both IJN CV lines) and it does teach you
well, so stick with it.
