  • Starkiler's Ultimate FF to BB Guide (UK)

    12. 28. 2010 05:43

Starkiler
Hello! This first post is not the guide; the guide will be the first reply. This is to
prevent a wall of text from appearing at the top of every page, which I know from
experience is annoying. Also, this guide is real-time, so I'm making it up as I go
along
(I'm currently at the DD phase myself). This will take months and possibly years to
finish. I
know, I know, quit your whining. I'm young; I've got plenty of time, and I'll use as
much
of it as I want to. Please try not to be so selfish in the future.

Or I can just lock it due to bad information.

This guide could use some work.....
I would advise getting to CA level and then
Writing about all the DDs and CL of the RN.

The other more accurate guide, was placed somewhere else. Is the link to it not inside
the tips and tactics folder made by fox? If not, it was binned for obsolescence. Ask one
of the mods if it is still in the bin.

Star, I must know what time are you on? I may have to adjust my play time to catch you
. Also, I would suggest checking the other anchored guides at the top of the forums.
You could check that while doing you're own.

To everyone else, I do believe when the new nations (?) come out. There will be
changes in our ships once more. If the past is anything to go by, we could end up
eating a nerf or a boost depending on how the new ships react to players.

i have some guide for you, star:

-don't make a guide if you haven't played (or already played it but not until the end) the
nation that you currently building its guide at (example, ff-to-cv-guide made by some
person, but that 'person' haven't use (or play) the ship until the last CV).

-don't call yourself the experienced players if you ONLY play uk ships up to DD classes,
if someone says you noob, that is what you deserve for making UK ship guide with LESS or
NOTHING AT ALL experience in UK ships.

-don't class your sailors at level 15 and suggest to everyone else to do teh SAME (this is
already suggested), if you do it by yourself without telling to newbies to do it than
thats no problem.

-don't ever think that you want to help newbies (or anyone who not-accidentally read this)
to become better players IF yourself CANNOT take someone else opinion or suggestion or
even critic about your guide, you still keep on fight their opinions (which can help
yourself to fix your 'broken' guide).

-don't ever make any guides again if yourself cannot appreciate someone else guide that
are more precise, more accurate, and more better than yours, you should read those guides
first and then translate it to newbie's guide, that way is much better.

oh and this is a constructive criticism, believe it or not.

This might be the worst guide ever, if any one takes any advice from this I am
sorry.

this "guide" should be renamed in "the ultimate incomplete guide from FF to DD without
knowing why I am doing". What a waste of time

just for the record, all FFs can run on nationalized crew, including non BO sailors to
operate. You do not need a neut crew albeit not very efficient. Aside from ffxy, you
have missed the FF21, FF2 and the fast FF2M3, all capable of mounting more than
enough ASW weaponry.

I also you have to disagree with your testing of guns. I suggest to players learning
new nations to look at stickies for their respective DD guides for optimal weapons
and not waste credits switching up guns. Also HH eat up credits, often negative
credits if you lose a battle.

From your description of how to win a test mission it seems your using the auto FCS.
May I suggest MANUAL aiming. I along with many other players here, recommends it.
It also eases up on the shoulder and wrist problems you're crying about.

And lastly if you havent noticed, you have been getting more complaints than
compliments on your guide which might be a hint that something is wrong. Any other
sticked guide usually has a "good work" on its first reply. Just sayin.

Your guide is porly structured and there are far better RN guides out there...
one of the best ones got lost somehow

the reason you want to class your sailors ASAP is not only for the "skill points" they earn
but also because when you class a sailor to the next, every level he earns gives said
sailors more crewmembers (except as pilots)

example:
a neut gets 10 more crewmembers every level
a natioanlised sailor gets 15 every level
a support sailor gets 20
a 2nd repairman gets 25
a 1st gets 30
a chief gets 35
(not actual data representaion, just an example)

all those crewmembers add up to the trueskill of your sailor, and greatly affect his
effectiveness once you have added vets and experts to him

go read adalberts guide on ability to learn more about the game, and to make your guide
fullproof, look at his guide and try to take some of the things he used there to create a
better guide here.

properly structuring sentences/info to make it lighter to read
adding a small picture of the ship may seem silly but it realy does make your guide look
the part

Even a FF-01 can be far more than "just target practice". Theres more about this game than
just damage dealing. Scouting for example. And a well played FF-01 can be quite good at
this task :)

Starkiller,

11 Five-minute Blitz games would had been enough to get your crew to level 12.

Did you really spend 8 HOURS doing MISSIONS? I'm sorry, but that is a total waste of time
and fun.

I level'd my new UK crew from 1 to 34 in a few hours, on a free account, by playing Blitz.

I suggest you remove this "guide", so others don't do the same mistake.
