You don't need more concentrated fire because the County is designed to have a bad
spread. This is made up for by the incredible damage of the 8in guns; up to 1000 dmg
at angle 70. They are also very long range for Blitz, where most people don't shoot at
range or pack smaller guns on their CAs. The County is where you learn to play UK BB.
If you have no intention of doing this then just put trip6in on it and rush.

the Surrey remodel of the York has many of the same issues as the County. one
potential option (especially if you're using the slower reloading dual 8" guns), is to use
gradual fire and pick your shots, especially against larger targets. or if not, just worry
about putting at least your forward or your rear guns on target (obviously making sure
you're not going to hit a friendly with the other bank of guns).

option 3, attack on a 45 degree angle initially, or once you do enough damage to a
smaller ship that it can't run circles around you. you'll get a tighter grouping and be able
to land 3, maybe all 4 turrets on target, depending on the size of it.

As baker said, it's a high angle (HA) ship.

The spread sucks, especially compared to other ships, but if you line up the enemy with
some decent HA volleys they will feel the pain. Of course that assumes you can get IN
range and stay AT range, which implies Blitz on a proper sized map.

Since the introduction of Hobbit Wars as default map for Blitz, I suggest using an Emerald
until you reach BB level (either as an AA ship or gunship - it's suited to either and tons
of fun with higher level crew). Some people say County is a good AA ship, but I disagree.

The duel 8's will have bad spread, but High angle your shots and just watch the ships go
down, its one of ths best Ca's in the game and can destroy Blitz;s

The county is a high angle ship.

first important thing ytou need to understand about all uk ships. at level gunners suck
big time in regards to spread and refire.

your gunners need to be roughly 8+ level highers than the ships guns inorder to get a
reasonable spread. uk spread only get decent from about 70+ and upwards.

it might be a little sooner.

Either move down to the trip 6s, or get in close with the dual 8s. at level, the county
doesn't have the best spread, but just find a way to get some damage and have fun with it!

I actually like the county. I no the spread sucks, but i like its gun and armor. It also
has an ideal speed

Its the tradeoff for having the best damage per shell of all 8" guns.

Yes the county does have a terrible spread till the mid-late 50's. I used the trip 6's until
my gunners got higher in level (52 i think?) and just had fun slaughtering the DD's and
stupid CA's. Just belt it up and have fun with it (tho of all my CA grinds i hated county
the most).
