  • NF FPS Lag Solved, look here.

    02. 02. 2011 21:55

Hellzwarped
Started playing NF again, and the lag is unbearable.

Windows 7
Quad Core 3.8GHz
3GB DDR2 Ram
1TB HDD

Tried using compatibily setting and it got worse. I googled my problem and didnt
come
up with any answers. Its not a crash, just hardcore FPS lag spikes. I saw someone
that
had a similar problem and disabled PCI devices. But i only have my wireless adapter.

Help? and if you cant fix it, can I get a refund? It was working fine up untill i paid
money.
go figure right?

EDIT: added to DEP list, no fix.
EDIT 2: Tried Virtual machine, XP, no fix.
EDIT 3: PROBLEM SOLUTION, If you have a Quad Core, hit CTRL+ALT+DEL show
processes from all users(admin), right click NavyFIELD.exe under processes and
select Set Affinity..., disable CPU 2&3. CPU 0&1 should be checked. click okay and
restart navyfield.

Why do you only have 3 gigs of RAM on a windows 7 OS?

If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:

* 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

* What other programs do you run with NF?

* Recently the HS program uses 1 gig of RAM while your in-game.

* How strong is your internet connection? Lag on NF is not only the result of the server,
but your computer and internet as-well.

@devildog : ty for your useless post

@hellz Would you please post you specs from " dxdiag.exe "

It would be nice to be back in The States for this game server! Because with living in
Asia now, here are the pings I got with this trace route:

hmm, the San Jose servers look a little slow.....almost like the "comcast" lag at the
start of january. This tracert would be a nice bit of data to send in a support ticket.
When the lag monster came out of the San Adreas fault early January we used the
support ticket data to have the server owners change the route.
