  • Navyfield.exe has stopped working @ startup

Madwolf
I get this message after I try to run Navyfield after the patch screen has finished
checking for updates and I try to run the program. Hacksheild does initialize as it has
normally before the application is launched.

I didn't have this problem until yesterday when it first happened, but after exiting all
other applications, including my browser Navy Field would run. As it stands right now
the game won't run no matter what I attempt to do.

I have a custom-built Windows 7 machine, top of the line. My Windows Experience
Score is a 5.9 thanks to my HDDs, but all my other settings rank in at 7.3 or higher out
of a 7.9 possible score.

Any advice?

Whelp, swing and a miss.

I got a little farther that time. The game actually booted up and began to load before it
crashed to the desktop.

@ yes, manual patch would probably solve your situation, but if it does not

make sure you are running NavyFIELD, NF Launcher, ENFUNS Updater, and HSUpdate as an
administrator. Also make sure NavFIELD and desktop composition and visual themes disabled.
You can access these settings by
Finding your SD Enternet folder>
Navyfield>
NavyFIELD/NF Launcher/ ENFUNS Updater>
right click>
properties>
compatibility

ENFUNS Updater has a separate folder as well under your SD Enternet folder
HSUpdate has a separate folder within your Navyfield subfolder (it's titled HShield)

I'd suggest updating HS manually.

Run the program in your NF folder: ....SD EnterNET\NavyFIELD\HShield\HSUpdate.exe
