5/3 won't repair cap.
With a elite rep BO, elite reps ,all other sailors at 11+ base rep and all supper vetted
( 300+) and at full crew you might might get near.

For the rest : as stated its hugely a matter of gameplay preference. Or financial
capabilities.

If you are a rich (or have a rich daddy depending on how old you are, and are a totally
spoiled brat) and you can hit the rep cap with 3 reps only (vetting them to 40% prolly)
then go 5/3, as engineer OH time is stackable and uncapped (safe by the already in place
mechanics, so the "OH time cap" would effectively be "in theory" 9 lvl 120 KM engies EBVE
at 40% of max vet.

That would mean a stupid BB6 with no scout however. And no rep or no AA.


Anyway, point is, you dont get a cap on OH time.

Now for most people, its regular 109 vets BVE sailors, so that would effectively mean
making a choice with 25% more OH time (supposing all engy have the same base, level, and
roughly the same ammount of vets/experts) and slightly lower levels OH cap or a boost to
your rep rate, that allows you maybe at end game to save 30 sec on the repair from near 0 DP.

And its down to a preference of what you prefer maximized on your ship yourself. Whatever
I could suggest would be with my preference, and might not at all apply to you.

Trashing the best anti CV battery in game is not an option. Both setups are fine (5/3 or
4/4), you can make each one work fine if you are a bit more careful with your positioning

No, 5/3 will not give the same rep rate as 4/4

Same SD as it maxes at 900
But rep rate maxes out at 35million true ability and i doubt any KM crew could ever reach
that.
Saying that, i went 5/3 with my crew

5/3 will have same repair rate like 4/4 normally , for example, 100 vet to 150 vet

Yah its basicly ur choice. with 5/3 you have more over heat time and with 4/4 you have
higher rep rate. I personally have 5/3 on my kaiser and i think the rep rate is pretty
slow compaired to my Queen Vic which has 4 reps. Its up to you!
