I have Iowa with full BB6 crew: 4 engis and 4 repairs full of sailors, scout 120 full of
sailors too, gunners with both caps and BO with lines perfectly adjusted, 0.2 belt.
Displacement 44765 and it runs 25/42. It's possible to do with enought vets in
gunners. Of course the vets is in order to cut the Gunners as possible without losing
accuracy or reload.

I think he meant .2 belt. 2 bulge is just stupid.

"2 bulge. Nothing else. You go 42 with 120 crew. This means you shouldn't really be
getting hit by TBs, and subs, well, your dead anyway. "

Straight out lie right there...

With a full 120 crew on an Iowa it is virtually impossible to go 42. Only way that
happens is under a few conditions.

1). * Scout must be close to skeleton *
2). * BO must be trimmed quite a bit *
3). * No AA guns or HHs on T slots *
4). * Less than 30 bulge *
5). * No Bulkhead *
6). * Gunners must be trimmed a bit *

I forgot the exact displacement but with a full crew it is impossible to go 25/42. On the
other hand going 40 is possible.

With 40 you can still have over 120+ bulge with 0.2 belt.

same as above...

Armor is for UK noobs.
For GBs or AW rooms with CVs, SSs and Kitas use only 0.2 belt for
torps dmg reduction and as much bulge as will be possible before
your speed will decrease.
For BB games use only as much Bulk Head as will be possible before
your speed will decrease. You will need no other armor for fighting
BBs only.

And crew.
1x Rookie, 2x Main Gunners (+ for GBs 1x HH Gunner on back T slot),
4 Engs, and Repaiers on the rest unused support slots.

It will be hard ship from the start but better with every other lvl. =)

I set up my iowa with 0.4 belt, 3 bulk head, and as much bulge as you can w/o dropping speed.
For me, my bulge was pretty low (~15-20), but it didnt matter cause I had the belt to
halve the torp dmg. Also, the bulk head helps A LOT with overheat

0.2 belt and 120 bulge. This is with Monty crew, cruising at 24/38 (Not speedcapped yet).
Beware Iowa is very slow at level (even with good engys, I only managed 23/34 max at
the time). I recommend you strongly to play the SoDak until level 95 or so, when the speed
and spread are better.

~65 bulge and 0.4" belt

With 120 crew, I still go 40 knots.

Basically, stick on 0.4" belt and continue adding bulge until you lose a knot of speed.
Once you lose a knot of speed, remove enough bulge so you regain it and that is your
armour setup :P You'll be able to fit quite a bit more bulge I presume since your crew
will be lighter.

Speed is your friend.
