ok.. want to throw this at you guys for some input because I don't know the exact
cause.. I have a suspicion it is a hackshield issue, but wanted to make sure--- so
here it is..


When I go to start the game, the patcher does it's thing like normal, but when I hit
the button to start the game, the hackshield icon will pop up and do it's thing.. then
when it is done, the game crashes to an error message (that I cant recall at the
moment.. sorry)..


at first when it happened, I thought maybe the patch server was down because I did
it 5 times in a row and each time it would dump me to desktop.


but then yesterday it happened to me 3 times and on the 4th attempt let me in
/shrug

Again.. I suspect I know the culprit, but is this what is happening to other folks and
hackshield?


I am running a 6core AMD with 8 gigs of RAM (64 bit system), so I dont think it is a
memory issue as with laptops.




I also NEVER ever ever ever had this happen before I got hackshield installed...
(hence why I suspect HS)
