and now my internet is being leeched by that program
I proved it by surfing the net with/ without NF installed
and the result is, it fudgeing leech my bandwidth
even on my laptop withOUT navyfield installed, it became very lag when i had NF installed
on the desktop

Anyone with the same issue?

MB52,

When this was tested and reviewed by one of the Fleets the HS client shut down
with the game and at no time did it ever send any info collected off the PC.

It wont steal your bandwidth, or use processes after you leave the game.

OK and this has been discussed and the question answered and closed

I do find this interesting though... since I have Dialup, and what little bandwidth I
have.. I cannot afford to let something steal.

I dont suppose anybody has done tests on this? with actual numbers?

I hardly find posts like this credible since no real information or evidence is ever
posted with them.

Well I can't say that it uses any my source is task manager where I can check to see
if there is any activity being used on the net when the pc is idle and its not.

I dont know what internet connection you have but I have 50mb BB so maybe I dont
notice and 8 gig of ddr 3 ram. there is however 3 pc's in the house but even then I
dont really notice unless someone is downloading and stealing the bandwidth.

Which is usually my step son but I have limited him down to 1.5mb download only
now.

I can't say I have read anything on the net that says HS steals bandwidth

Hoyin,
Make a proper test.

Open a command window (START>RUN>CMD then enter)
copy this:

netstat -ao

these are your processes, the last number is the PID (Process ID).

Press Ctrl+shift+esc for the Task Manager to open. Click SHOW PROCESSES FROM
ALL USERS. Go to VIEW>SELECT COLUMNS and tick SHOW PID.

Compare the the PIDs in the command window with those in the task manager.

I DARE YOU TO SHOW ME A PROCESS NOT PRESENT IN THE TASK MANAGER
BUT PRESENT IN THE COMMAND LINE PID LIST!!!!

FOR FUDGE'S SAKE!!!! HS IS NOT SENDING INFO ANYWHERE!!!!! CAN YOU STOP
THE BULLPOOPOO!

**Double edit**
1) And if you are wondering whether HS uses UDP or TCPv6, use the -p flag with
netstat to check!

2) Sorry Blood. I'm just tired of this topic.
**End double edit**

In my house we have:

VOIP Phones
2 Desktops
4 Laptops
iPad
iTouch

And they all use bandwidth, especially the VOIP Phones. And i have no
problems with NF, 2/6 PCs have NF on them.
