  • Valor is an International Quality

Two Libyan Mirage F1's landed in Malta today, and the pilots announced their
defection. Alledgedly they were ordered to sortee and fire on civilian protestors in
their own country. They instead refused their orders and sought refuge in Malta.

That took bravery, and those two pilots did the right thing by refusing to kill civilians
in their own country. I pray that any family members they left behind are not
treated harshly for their decision.

An absent father who stood up for his principles and thought for himself or a father
figure who hasn't got the courage to stand up for what is right and will kill the innocent
when given the command. That is a choice that doesn't exist.

Who knows what will happen to their families, but at least they chose their family well.

"What if they return after the revoltion to nothing? How do you know that they don't have
families? "

What happens after the revolution when they get jailed for gunning down civilians?
Commiting an offence because you are simply following orders isn't a defence. Their
family is at risk whichever way this goes down, the least they have done is ensure that
their own character is maintained and that in the event of the revolution suceeding (which
is very likely) they picked the correct side, instead of a jail cell.

Id rather be called a Pu@$y then kill innocent civilans, I think they made the right
choice. How would they live with themselfs if they did?

Use your brain at least one time on your life Sindlher. From where did you got they have
families? Their old parents might have been dead by this date, they can be singles, or
even they can be widowed, or their can even be orphans. So stop assuming things you don't
know.

The only thing that's sure, is that they landed on Malta for not following orders against
humanity.

Maybe they should have chosen option C: drop their ordnance in an unpopulated
area and claimed a weapons malfunction.
But this is neither here nor there, its hard to say what the right course of action
would have been without being in their shoes.

Children and women in most muslim states are considerd objects or furniture. Its
like, these pilots left behind a fridge or a VCR.
I wouldnt be surprised if we see them again, under a new government, as heroes or
political figures...

They've abandoned their families. Imagine if you had children or your yourself was a father. Could you do that? Men
and women always come off the worst in these types of things.

"Bravery? Sounds more like being a couple of p***ys. Leaving their families behind during
such a time is a sickening thought"

Gaddafi will recruit you in the near future.

But honestly, respect to those pilots. It is a very difficult decision to make, and they have
chosen the bravery route. Something not an average person can do.
