The few CV games that I have played, I was bored out of my mind. They were
a "I'll take my fighters, you take your fighters; let's meet in the middle" type of thing.
I asked for fighter escorts, or atleast put fighters over the enemy, for my bombers
and I got nothing--guess cooperation is too much to ask for. No one wants to sink
anyone because that would reduce the amount of credits that they gain and in the
games I was in, not even with guns -.-

The point of NavyField is to level. It is most successfully done by gaining as much
experience as possible. That is accomplished by winning with lots of attack.

That being said, since NF is a leveling game...a secondary point would be to reach
the end line ships. And, since they are quite expensive, gaining credits and points to
buy the ships is also a goal within NF.

Saying "hey, the point is to win" doesn't exclude the idea of getting lots of credits in
the process of winning. I mean, I've played in BB battles where I've pulled back and
not sunk a ship because I want him to repair since I know I can probably sink him
again given the chance.

I wouldn't view that as ABing since I didn't agree with him to let him repair. I am
selfish and I think I can sink him again from full health.

In the same way, I've been playing in these most of the day with a borrowed crew.
50-75k attack + 25-30k credits

I'm not rushing right off the bat with guns or launching bombers full throttle, so I'm
automatically ABing?

As I already said, people will look at the gamemodes available and logically choose the
one that benefits them the most depending upon the type of event or absence of. Remove CV
mode if it is such an exploit.

*Please go back and play normal games as you normally would no
matter what those games are and gain your extra credits the way it was intended
to be gained.*

GBII is not a normal room. It is the common gamemode currently used, normal rooms are like
the 'vs bb 5' room in the screenshot above, which are rarely used. I'm not saying it isn't
exploitation, I'm saying people are looking at it logically and are choosing the gamemode that
benefits them the most out of the gamemodes available.

Would the same be said if GB1 was the best gamemode to use during an EXP event? Would
players be warned/advised to play what is considered 'the normal' gamemode?

I like how people want more gamemodes and gamemodes used, yet don't want them used at
certain times. As I've said many. . many times: Adjust the EXP/credit/point gain so that
it is the same in ALL available gamemodes. . .

:EDIT:

*Please go back and play normal games as you normally would no
matter what those games are and gain your extra credits the way it was intended
to be gained.*

I have to ask, what was SDE's original intention?

***Compensation for loss during server merge
Credit/Point rate after battle will be increased by 200%
Date: 23th February (Wed) ~ 27th February (Sun), 2011**

No mention of a limitation of how to gain these extra credits, looks to me that their
intention was for the playerbase to gain extra credits with what is currently
available in game.

The point of the event is was to reward us in what we normally play not like this
guys this is peer exploting and we all know it. Sde wanted to give us all something
to help after the merge and then this happens which was not the intent therfore
this is an exploit. Please go back and play normal games as you normally would no
matter what those games are and gain your extra credits the way it was intended
to be gained.

At it's most basic point. What is the goal in any game mode of Navyfield?

edit: rephrased.

Depends upon your standpoint.

People say HA, people say to level up and get the end of the line ships, other people say
to kill/sink/beat the another player/team. There are even people who play just to be a
marketeer =/

And again, I ask you. What is the point of the entire game of NavyField?

I have not once sat in a room where it has only been a fighter fest for 25 minutes, nor
have I seen people say to do that apart from one or two who say 'please don't shoot' and I
shoot and sink them. All of the rooms I have been in have had people gun rushing, torp
bombing and dive bombing.

Also, even if rooms are lasting quite a while where fighters are the main plane launched,
could it be because people know shooting down fighters is the best way to earn those
precious credits? Instead of running and gunning/bombing?
