Sure if I were to be the scamer, I could log on your account and know your email adress that is registered to your account. However, it's not like I have the password of that user email.
Also, one could also say that using purchase history is not safe. As I could go and buy something, and manage to change the password and account information. I remember posting, reading thread that " the last purchase history could be use as a proof that you are the original owner".
That being said, there are flaws in this system. I would content myself if there were somekind of serial numbers they give you right after you create an account. That serial number is unique and should be used as the proof. This is how I see it should be handled.
